Wow, I so appreciate the specifics on money because I grew up in a scarcity mindset, and I've never really gotten out of it. I had no idea what other people spend on clothes, and honestly, this makes me feel better when I don't look like you or other folks online because I had no idea my same style of pants were 10x cheaper and lower quality. Now I understand why wide leg trousers look different on me in many ways and it gives me peace to know I don't just suck and I'm not just ugly. I still can't afford much of anything, but it helps me be at peace with what I do have and stop wishing it was something else. Thank you so much for talking on specifics! I also know now after listening to you that I want a higher paying job so I CAN look and feel the way I want to, and that I'm worth it!

I appreciate that you are saying that we don't need to build our warddrobe all at once. I am making a conscious effort to elevate my warddrobe due to sustainability reasons i.e. I don't need 10+ pants but rather 2-3 pants that are good quality and can last me years. However that makes me very particular with what I buy. I would sometimes bite the bullet to ease the "need" to cross out an item from my essentials warddrobe list but an overnight sleep and 2-cups of coffee later, I would run back to the store to return it because it's not exactly what I need. Currently in the midst of trying to be slower with my fashion consumption and trying to not randomly buy during sales as this has been a massive issue for me in the past. You are so right! I ended up with so many things that didn’t fit quite right or weren’t exactly what I was looking for but I purchased because they were on a big sale.
