Thank you master for understanding the usefulness of this tool! It helps to save time during wrapping process, besides avoids those 'marks' along the edge of the seat base when working with just our hand. My tool is too thick. I would recommend to do a thinner tool made out of metal (two rectangular iron sheets and a welded angle on front edge. The latches would be welded too. On the contrary, it could be of aluminum. It is lighter.

Attention to detail on something so basic is amazing. This is obviously an heirloom piece. Now repeat 9 more times:)

Love to see the improvised tools. I made a webbing stretcher 30 years ago out of a piece of wood lying on the workshop floor. some inch nails and a scrap of fabric. It was intended to do the job until I had money for a proper store-bought tool... still using it.

Staple puller are probably the most dangerous ever, one slip and it’s time for alcohol and Band Aids. But I do like the fabric stretcher., smart thinking

Great video. I've been learning a lot from you recently. I have a question, would this method work with a 3 or 4-inch cushion? I'm having trouble with corners on a boat project. Any information will help. Thanks
@Cechaflo3 жыл бұрын
Trying to figure out what is the issue. I suppose the cushions are going to be sewn down or don't?. I have some related videos hopefully would help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4PVXquFgpyGp7M kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3-XZo2NfK6cg9k kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqTRYnVqepKFZ6s kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIK5h2qGj82jf6M kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYjQZYV3rLR7ZpY

should we do some air holes in the bottom now that its leather and it might hiss when sitting on it?
@Cechaflo3 жыл бұрын
You are right! It is important to let the air out and in while sitting. Fortunately no hissing sounds in my chair, but I have to make the holes. Thanks!
