Blizzard has legit messed with people's MMR. If you want an accurate rank and you've had one account the whole time...make a smurf and you will see the difference. Oh and let me add that when I placed 2 higher than Ive ever placed, I had horrible luck with leavers on the smurf, and before I got the win threshold I had lost 15 games. And still placed 2 ranks higher. Elo hell is indeed real. Hoping this latest rank change is better. So far the bar they've added seems like a good addition at least. We'll see what happens. It's weird to read the comments and see that a certain way of thinking is not villainized. Tough love like this is what I and many others grew up on. It's basically saying that all your limits are in your mind, but allowing them to dictate your life instead of improving is laziness. He brings up his GF because the guy brought up how streaming has hurt their friendships. Think about it, this streaming is hard work thing is just everyone involved playing the victim. What Awkward is saying is that being a victim is a mindset, and call him what you want but he walks the walk. During one of he videos (I think it was the Reaper one?) an alarm went off (He lives in Pakistan I think? I know he's in one of those war conflict areas) his man just apologized and simply ended the video. There was no fear and no talk about how he feared for his life. It takes its own skillset for sure, and takes a mental toll in its own ways Tho it depends, if you're trying to grow/improve/make quality shit its a lot more work, whereas once you're established you can hire people to do a lot for you and sit back and make low effort react content or smth if you just want the paycheck Being essentially self employed gives the freedom to be lazy and work less or to easily end up overworking yourself and hurting your health in other ways, and any job where youre sitting staring at a screen all day has its issues

I think the problem isn’t that Awkward was trying to constructively criticize Questron. He decided to be an asshole and insult Questron to make himself look better. Which is just all around a rude move

Cry more, ngl awkward oppinions are right, u can be streaming and still have friends, it s not the 'job' problem that u lost friends, if you had them in the first place😂, streamers also eat so stop ordering online 24/7 and go to the market. Streaming is not a hard job, go work in construction, go work in hospitals, go work in all these typo jobs.

He wants attention and got that (never watched anyone involved except one video by awkward and from that he came across very narcissistic and self obsessed. Even if he had some true points, his attitude and behavior rubbed me wrong).

You can't possibly work hard while streaming, it's not like you are - Relying on your ability to stay relevant and stay entertaining to eat - Constantly having to stay up to date at everything that is going on - Anxious that your entire career relies on a media that could just be taken away from you at any moment - Turning your hobby into a profession and in turn exausting yourself by doing the things you love - Anchoring yourself to a product because people won't like if you drastically change what you do - All the while recieving more negativity and more praise than most people can handle and having to be cool about it The disrespect that people have for creative jobs is insane
@AegisEdge10 ай бұрын
yes, but it's still a way more privileged job than real life stressful jobs.
@knightbiker138310 ай бұрын
You forget that many REAL jobs require many skills, education, talents, and qualifications to get them done properly. I’ve streamed, I never had a big audience nor did I care to, I work 50+ hours a week for my job, have 2 kids and find time to game, anybody that thinks streaming is “more difficult” has their head in their ass. Even better, if all these streamers have such an unhealthy lifestyle because of streaming that is on them, their viewers don’t decide what they eat, and how they actually take care of themselves, even streaming for 8 hours every single day, leaves you plenty of time to live a completely normal and healthy life just like any other 9-5 job. Awkward is 100% right, the fact that questrok said that streaming has caused his health to deteriorate so much is his fault, nobody else’s.

It's just his opinion. It seems that there is focus on what he says because of his ability to be very good at the game. He's just doing the toxic thing
@PisserFartShitt10 ай бұрын
Ofc it's just his opinion but it doesn't change the fact that he's just kinda a weirdo. Trying to stir up drama, playing gaming chair psychologist, then whining to big OW streamer, while also being one of those "course sellers" is just kinda cringe.

@PisserFartShitt yeah but in life...who cares about what another human says....

That would be valid if he wasn't constantly a jackass to basically anyone who he considers... not on his level? With such great opinions as "being below top 500 and giving an opinion on Overwatch design is the same as not being a mechanic and giving an opinion on car design"
@mikechujitsu10 ай бұрын
The thing that defeats all of this is that none of you would replace it to go work in a mine. You all chose your job which has it's pros and cons and it is obviously paid far higher than things that matter.

Is questron lazy? No. Is it fair to say streaming is one of the easiest jobs to exist? Yes. Every day jobs are infinitely harder than making animations

Awkward is a controversial streamer for sure but still he is an increasingly smart guy. Watching him play brought me up from platinum to masters. Nobody is perfect, he has high high expectations but he truly means it with the tough love. He isnt right to push his standard onto others but I admire what he has to say. Give him a watch before hating him so much.
@johnypeperwinkle620710 ай бұрын
But this tweet wasn’t “tough love” it was Awkward seeing a tweet and deciding to jerk himself off while simultaneously putting someone else down

I dont think good player = smart person though. He is a great player but that says way less about his intellect and more about hours and hours of practice. not saying that practice is easy but building a skill does not mean you are smart, it means you learned the skill. I dont think anyone is debating that he means what he says, I think people are debating the fact that what he said was completely unhelpful and unnecessary
@switchblade610 ай бұрын
Good player and intelligent are two very, very different things.
