I hate how Rein is like, PEAK tank design(that immovable wall that protects the team, makes plays, and punishes those who get close), but just like Heavy in TF2(the closest thing that game has to a similar role), he’s almost completely non-viable in high tier comp.

Fr I usually play doomfist but one match the enemy was playing tank and asked if I played rein but I said no. Dude convinced me to go rein and it was actually one of the most fun matches ive ever had. At the end I said "Live with honor" and he replied back with "Die with glory" it was the manliest tank fight ive ever had. Dude said he respects a true man when they play rein. I felt so proud lmfao.

So I refuse to accept that nonsense they buffed bastion and miora up to where they’re meta in top500 while they dominate the metal ranks. They just won’t do it for rein. They clearly have favorites

@@natedavis2944 they buffed moira as a compensatory buff for the season 9 changes as she doesn't benefit from any projectile buffs They also buffed rein's swings, fire strike and pin But they were again compensatory buffs since he doesn't benefit from projectile changes Rein is still viable with the correct comp just very hard to pulloff otherwise that other dude playing rein wouldn't be in that high of a rank while playing rein Rein players just cry too much

Been playing since OW1 and reached masters largely by watching your content and you inspired me to play Rein. Imo OW is most fun when Rein is playable. He's such a fair tank in terms of outplay potential but he's also strong when played well at least for awhile. I'm sad that the current state of the game doesn't allow him to shine.

I wonder if what would help rein is him being able to switch between hitting enemies and pushing allies with his charge. So he can flip around and get his medic or dps the fuck out of a bad situation. It doesn't help hes pure defense with his shield, yet his only other abilities is throwing a fireball and throwing himself at the enemies. His charge is iconic but hes not built to survive the aftermath it would be most used for
