How to Use a Battery Tester to Find Good vs Bad Batteries - Test Old Batteries and Check Power Level

How can I check if random batteries I find are good or bad? Let's find out with a simple and inexpensive tool. I got a battery tester to help me sort out my battery problem. I got a 2-pack so I can keep one in the house and one in the garage. The tester I have feels cheap but it comes in handy when I run into a random battery lying around.
Compatible batteries fit into the red clamp on the side except for 9 volts which is tested on top. And I'll list this exact tester here in the description so it's easy for you to find. Just insert the questionable battery in the top and hold it between the clamp. The meter is kind of crude but it'll show the general status of the battery. Red means it's dead. And when it's yellow I think it's about dead too.
I can even check button batteries too. They're very thin so the red clamp needs to be almost all the way closed. This battery tester works with all common batteries including 9 volt. And as mentioned before, 9 volt batteries are tested on the top. At under $8 for a 2-pack, you'll easily be able to determine which batteries to keep and which ones to recycle.
