I personally enjoy using snap binders or dogs as we call them down under. If you are familiar with them, they are safe and effective. In saying that, if I had people working for me, I would issue them with ratcheting binders for insurance reasons. We also apply lube and grease to the moving parts of a snap binder to prevent squeaking.

Nice. Pretty cool names you have for them. I have never heard of those names. I will start saying that. I just watched the video and actually just said it SNAPPED IN! That is awesome. I enjoy using them also and I agree with you 100 percent. I feel the same way. about who uses them. I like how fast they are and you can dog the slack out easily. Too hard to hold the slack and use the ratchet style. And they suck in the rain to grip. They clog up. They are slow. I will take a pair of these any day that ends with a Y....

Never have liked using those things. They always feel like finger death traps

Always preferred these to anything else. Quick and easy once you know what you're doing. I recommend some gloves for newbies tho

Same here. And some words of advice with the gloves😀
It might be time to jump into the 21st century and get some ratcheting binders

Trust me I have used them. I will take a pair of these old ones any day over those. I will be loaded and gone by the time you get done playing with your slack and grease or rust or both and dirt and rocks and slippery wet handles and your clicker........Modern does not always mean better or faster The biggest reason people do not use these, is they can't figure out how to use them.......
