Nice video...I work for coats the 5030 was from my early days at coats so I'm not familiar with it as I wasn't on that side of the plant but the balancer 1001 is legendary in the plant as it lasts for ever it uses a heavy duty motor that we use in our HD line such as the 6450 to balance semi tires...sadly we don't make the 1001 anymore because they never broke

Hey, when you are dismounting a tire put the valve stem directly under the duck for both beads that will ensure if there is a sensor it won't be harmed. When you remount put it at like 7 or 8 o'clock for both beads.

Ever do any 35 or 40 series tires on that machine? Is it a lot harder? I've never seen a machine listed as cheaply as yours.

Not anymore, I change my own tires and I balance them myself! I also change my friend's and family's tires as well. Helping friends and family is the best!

Clamping that shallow rim on the inside is very Dangerous! You should always clamp down on the Bottom outer edge of the rim, not the inside.
@1D10CRACY11 ай бұрын
Good advice, especially for alloy rims. For full size (not shallow) steel rims like used in this video, I always clamp on the inside. But yes, if you are uncomfortable doing it that way, by all means clamp on the outside edge. What works for you is always going to be the best way. ;)
@leesutterlin1757 Жыл бұрын
Nice job showing everyone the wrong way to use the rim clamp. You clamp from the external diameter not the internal, those little spikes are damaging every wheel you mount using the internal clamp, especially aluminum. I was looking for a video to educate an idiot who damaged all my wheels and here you are doing the same thing.
@1D10CRACY Жыл бұрын
Yay, a clueless keyboard warrior! It was a steel rim, there are no issues with clamping a steel rim form the inside. On an aluminum /alloy rim, you will want to bite it from the outside to prevent scratching. But thanks for trying!
