Another tip it depends on what sponge you use for your hair, some work with small holes some work with big holes and some work with the medium sized sponge everybody’s hair is different

I know I’m late, but did you have to redo the sponge technique this everytime you woke up? Do you sleep with a durag on to prevent this?
@ProdigyMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Good question! I've heard of a lot of people leaving their hair sponged and not piking it out when they go to bed and it works out fine for them. Personally, I don't because the curls flatten/look unorganized when I wake up with the curls left in. I pik my hair out when I'm about to go to sleep, then restart the process the next day. I used to use a durag, but now I sleep with a bonnet

Can I use S-curl moisturizer and do u need to use water when sponging hair?
@ProdigyMadeIt2 жыл бұрын
Hey! I've never used S-curl with the sponge, so I can't recommend it. As for water, your hair should be damp, close to being dry. Or else the sponge won't e as effective. Hope that helps!
@itzjess882 жыл бұрын
I use all the products I use on my natural hair when I do a wash and go. Spray bottle with water to damp, curl cream, and a gel. I prefer ecostyler or this purple gel I found because it has a good hold but it's very light and not sticky at all with no crunch when it drys/sets. I then spray some water directly on the sponge or some curl activator and start defining his curls. When im done they are so defined and shiny. It makes a HUGE difference.

Why do every time I sponge my hair I be seeing pieces of my hair on the sponge?
@ProdigyMadeIt Жыл бұрын
It's due to the friction caused when the spinge and hair rub against each other. It's nothing to worry about!

Cantu Cream also a good one?
@ProdigyMadeIt2 жыл бұрын
I haven't used Cantu cream before, so I can't recommend it. But try it out to see if it works for you!

Does your hair grow when it sponged?
@ProdigyMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Yes it does. I've actually heard from some that it helps to accelerate the hair growth process. I can't speak for others on that topic, but from personal tests, I did notice my hair grow slightly faster whenever I was consistently using the sponge

@ProdigyMadeIt2 жыл бұрын
If you're able to get your hair to curl prior to using the sponge, I think it should work
