How to Use a Dictionary
Dictionaries tell us lots of things about words, such as what they mean, and how to spell them. But there's so much more-each word has a story to tell!
This video covers the basics of using a print dictionary and highlights the variety of rich information that can be found within the pages, including word histories, word roots, synonyms, and more!
An ideal resource for teachers and parents who are teaching dictionary skills, and for children who are learning how to use one.

I like dictionaries that have an etymology entry for each word. Also, sometimes I can't find a word because I don't know how to spell it, so it would be nice to have a speech input so I could just say the word and have its entry come up.

Also, I'm sure that you are aware of the fact that of all the parts of speech, *pronouns* are BY FAR the most important. It is absolutely critical to be aware of the importance of pronouns in today's society. Nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc cannot offend anyone; but pronouns can. Pronouns can reveal deep and lingering bigotry. I hope that the newest edition of your dictionary has an entire section that is devoted to pronouns. Of course it does, because not having such a section would be unthinkably insensitive to the oppressed.
