Sisters, the best looking curls popping experience I’ve seen these last 2 months of returning loose natural was when I detangled while I had the clay mask. But after I detangled I watch videos that said DO NOT detangle with the clay on the hair. Ooppss... but hardly much hate was lost but I will know better next time. Well, I received a lot of these products through the mail, the demen brush, defuser, flax, gel, clay, the mane choice... lots of stuff.... but now I’m thinking my PERSONAL 4 type hair is not a fan for wash n go. It does great with two stand twist and finger coils though. But this week when I wash I’ll try the Aunt Jackie gel. ☺️. No matter what, I love being natural!! I’ve been natural since 1996, with about 2 years of back sliding in the early years.... 😂. I’m still a fan, keep posting uploads!!!!! 🤗🤗. I’ll keep y’all updated!!

I just thought of a question as soon as I was done.. my apologies!!! 🤦♀️🤦♀️ At night, did you place just a satin bonnet or a silk scarf to protect your curls?? And what advice would you give to refreshing them after sleeping on them the night prior??
@AishaBeau5 жыл бұрын
No need to apologize!! Honestly, I just sleep on a good satin pillowcase, because at that length its inevitable to flatten the curls. You just need to put oil in your hands in the morning and fluff it back out with your hands. If you want it even bigger you can use a fro pick as well. No matter what natural hairstyle there will be a bit of frizz and whatnot in the morning, so I learned to get used to that.

This is so helpful! My daughter has type 2/3 on the front and sides and type 3/4 in the back. It is about 2 inches around unstretched. Stretched it's about 4, but shrinkage is another story lol. Because of this, her hair needs to be styled everyday. I'm about to order a diffuser attachment because her hair takes so long to dry in the mornings. She also goes to daycare and I really don't want her out in the cold with wet hair. I really needed this to see if I could make it work on her short hair! Thank you!

I often get my curls really defined during the day, then when I sleep on it, it ends up being a frizzy mess the next day. I already use a satin bonnet. Do you have any tips on how to make these curls last for a few days? Do you ever twist them up at night or anything? Thanks!
@AishaBeau5 жыл бұрын
I definitely had to embrace the frizz because it's inevitable. I actually prefer a satin pillowcase now instead of a bonnet because it makes my hair less compact. Also, make sure to refresh with oil the next day to help reduce frizz and retain shine/moisture. Also, it depends on the products you use to style with, gels help them last longer than cream stylers.
@leeah22115 жыл бұрын
I recently discovered if I band my hair at night then cover with a satin bonnet it preserves my twist out longer. I usually put about 4 in front and two in back of my head then in morning I gently rub my scalp to get rid of noticeable sectioning. Doing this also helps to stretch out my hair hope this helps ☺️.

I think it will, as long as you sleep with your hair in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase. Just make sure it's completely dry before you go to bed. Also, you may need to fluff it out a little bit in the AM.

Aisha Beau I just used my diffuser for the first time. Relatively new to the natural world and am still in the incubator stage. You know, testing products, stalking YT, and trying to type my hair in the hopes that I will purchase the correct products. I've learned so far, it's all trial and error. My hair, when wet looks exactly like yours. When I brush, rake, or comb it-- it curls, however it drys a tad dry, but the curls remain. I've had this diffuser for years but never used it. I just pulled it out and held it to my still wet hair for the first time. My hair looks good but I don't know what in the hell I did. So here I am. Thank you for this lesson!
