How to use a Hot Poc (reusable hand warmers)

Hot Poc: reusable hand warmers
1. Activate the heat: Bend the metal disc
2. Enjoy the heat: 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the format
3. Reuse up to 100 times: Boil for 5 minutes and let cool before reuse
Usage:
Hockey, skiing, snowboarding, running, fatbike, cycling, cross-country skiing, walking, camping, snowmobiling, mountain biking, van life and much more.

Sodium acetate, pretty cool stuff, able to be made with acetic acid and sodium bicarbonate, aka baking soda and vinegar. Albeit this version of sodium acetate is more pure.

We can make the chemical reaction with many different molecules. The hard thing is to make it reversible many times!

@@hotpoc9827 Heat melts the sodium acetate back into a liquid state. Nothing hard about reversing this one.

​@@hotpoc9827You are misinforming people. Normal hand warmers are completely fine for the environment, even works as a plant fertilizer. The silicone plastic and the sodium acetate is less eco-friendly tham a normal hand warmer. also barely gives you any heat time, not even an hour, while the irom (normal) hand warmers last the whole day

This is nothing new it’s just been rebranded. I remember being able to buy a different brand in the 1980’s they lasted for ten years then disappeared then came back again. These are great for the consumer but it’s a one time purchase not a return customer not good for the store. Plus now with KZbin you can learn how to make these at home if you like. 😊😢
