I was really curious about this one, but since is a sensitive topic for many people, they don't really explain it in such details 😅. Japanese Toilets and Bathrooms are the best in the world I bet, the technology and efficiency 😍

I don't think people generally stay that long on toilet that they need those functions. Sure sometimes we read paper or book while toilet but still.
@emspostal2584
@emspostal2584 7 жыл бұрын
Anacone Those functions are for cleanliness. It's just sit, do your thing and flush. Cleaning after are all automatic. The oto-hime or sound is used to masked embarrassing sounds when you are doing your thing without resorting to continuously flushing and wasting water. It is for saving water and not for entertainment.

In japan, when people go out on a date, and one of them needs to use the restroom, and if they do t return after ten minutes at most, in our culture well think that they’ve left, but it Japan, it be like, “ oh. They’re just playing with the toilet buttons. I wonder what song they’ll play when they flush their shit!!!

The most advanced toilets in the US that I've ever seen only flush automatically when you get up. Then, I see this, and I'm blown away. Like, I was laughing at first, but then realized: we in the US have shittier toilets compared to Japan. A dark day, indeed.
