it's not a pig pig so different taste.....if you handle the meat without transferring the scent oil from the hair to the meat it makes good pulled bbq

We love eating javelina at our house. Like Rick said, don’t touch the hide and then touch the meat. Skin with latex gloves, one hand holds hide, one hand does the skinning. Never touch the meat with hide hand. Change gloves often. Cool awesome javelina! Hit me up for recipes!

Javelina is the best meat I've ever tasted Not even white tail deer taste as good as javelina. It all depends on hoe you cook it or process the meat. In my home town in Mexico there's a lady that prepares the meat for us and tastes great.
