I bought mine new in 1998 and am still using it, although it did sit idle for years. This video is a good refresher. The camera is capable of making some very fine pictures, one of which I took made it into the pages of Popular Photography.

Hi, mine shows E02 at the display- I think it’s something to do with the lens not going inside. Do you have experience with this?

Mine says the same. It's a major and common fault with this camera. My camera develop this fault about ten years ago... Leica wanted a vast amount of money to fix it. But it's been a discontinued unit for some time. l have been in contact with a company in Poland who say the cost of repair is about €200....l have seen them for sale for €800 to €1000 but if its busted its busted ...mines just an ornament in a display cabinet

There is a company in the US called Red Dot Repair that can fix this error. It costs a few hundred bucks, but worth it for one of the coolest point and shoots 35mm film cameras out there.

Hi there! Any idea why my Leica flashes the number 1 after I load film? It will not allow me to shoot either.

The film is not loaded correctly when the 1 flashes. Open the back and retry loading. The "1" will stay stationary when the film is loaded successfully.

Nah, you have the bulb mode and you can try to manipulate the shutterspeed with EV switch but it doesn't have actual shutter speed control

There are actually a couple of places where you can get it repaired. My Minilux recently died of the well known error and I got it fixed for about 200 € at a camera repair shop in Poland. :)

Even if you're using your cameras, you're still part of the "problem". Cameras are expensive because all of us are shooting film again. Get over it!
