@JYUkulele
@JYUkulele 4 жыл бұрын
hey devvon, i know this is an old video but i remember coming across a video of yours saying that you mix into a limiter and had a question on how you utilize it. do you turn up the gain on the pro-l before mixing into it or do you a rough mix first and then start pulling the gain up? and also, how much do you turn the gain up typically? im using logic pro x and im starting up my mix with the kick, snare and vocals (as taught in your tutorial) but i cant mix into the pro-l getting the typical -8 rms range (for master referencing) without clipping/destroying the sound. the peaks of my drums are only hitting -12/-13db. could it be that im parallel compressing it too heavy? i just couldnt achieve the loudness i wanted to reference without destroying the sound completely and am going crazy trying to figure out what i might be doing wrong. i was trying to look for the video where you showed a quick peek of it but i couldn't find it and also cant remember which video it was LOL. youre the best man!
