So I went to my local Watson's pool supply store and I found an inlet hose adaptor, 27 foot vacuum hose, and a triangular vacuum head all for under 100 dollars. I plug into my inlet hole with the adaptor and hose and use my pump to vacuum the bottom of the pool with the suction from the pump. No garden hose needed. That little catch bag wasn't going to catch the small green algae on the bottom of my pool... . The filter will

You need to get an adapted that attaches to your pool and set the filter to drain.

Is there a way to do it by actually attaching it to the pool filter so the pool sand filter itself vacuums the debris? Would be more convenient so you don’t have to readjust pH alkalinity and chlorine levels from adding garden hose water

Yes, you can get an adapter that attaches a hose to the D port (drain), then to your vacuum. Then set the pool pump to the drain setting. Then it's using pool water to vacuum with. Good luck 👍

Yes. If you use a garden hose going to your spigot. As an alternative, you can attach it to the drain port (D), and set the pump to drain. Then you are just recirculating the water. This method requires a proper adapter from the drain port to your hose. Good luck, hope it helps.

Not if you're using your hose running from your outdoor spigot, like I did in this video. Some people use an adapter from the drain port on the pump, back to this vacuum. I'm that case, the pump should be on (and set to the drain setting).

Quick question can I hook up 2 quick connects one to the tool the other to port D with the quick connect nipple. Switch the pump to backwash and just reuse the pool water to cycle the debris into the vacuum net?
