I worked in precast concrete for 12 years & loved the satisfaction of a nicely finished piece. It takes a little time to get use to how wet u need the mix, how fast it cures & how to trowel well.

Mike,small tip, mount your laser receiver rod stake on a plasters' hawk. Set the hawk upside down, flat side on the floor. With a 3' rod stake ,the receiver becomes self supporting . The benefit is you'll take many more shots because it will always be nearby.

I know several women in the concrete business, I've had several work for me through the years actually they're better than 85 percent have some of the men they're great perfectionist be proud of your daughter she should never anybody for a good living and she's going to college. My daughter is pretty good I was in the business for 53 years retired been working on a pool in Dallas so much retirement good to see your video thanks

Another nice pour Mike!! Thats the kind of weather I loved to pour in! You said that mix dried pretty fast. But it’s still better then 94 degrees. It’s nice to have a little time on your side. And let your daughter or employee learn something new and not be stressed on time👍🏼👍🏼

Really enjoy your videos. My lead concrete finisher is a woman. She can run a vibrascreed and a power trowl. Just the anything bigger than a 36 in and it drags her 😂

Hi. Great video, thanks. I'm in the UK and laying around 66yds2 (11x6), with a fall in both directions. The 11yd side falls by 12", the 6yd side by 5". I want to use a power screed. Would you work from the low point to high, or high to low? I've never done anything this large before, so any advice would be really helpful. Thanks.

She was the point guard. She led the team in points, steals, and assists. I can't remember her exact averages. She won back to back State championships (the only ones the school has ever won in over 100 years. She was also a Miss Maine Basketball semi-finalist as one of the best girls players in the entire state.

vibrascreed probably also helps compact the concrete too. Makes it more dense than hand rodding the concrete.
