In this how to clean windows video , we are taking a look at how to professional use your scraper. We always suggest using extreme caution when using a razor on glass. Always have your customer sign a scratch waiver and always use extreme caution when using your scraper on tempered glass. Never use your window scraper on dry glass. Only use the sracper on wet glass to help prevent scratches. We dont razor every window that we clean, only windows that have very tough, stubborn debris. We also highly suggest purchasing the Unger Ninja Scraper Holster, the link is below.

I always learn something new when watching you two. Because of you I hardly use my blade, and use steel wool more now. Great videos.

We do a lot of commercial construction cleaning, it seems a lot of offices are having "low-e" tint on the inside of the building part of the glass. It's weird because they put a sticker on each window pane warning you that it's low-e, but the only way to get the sticker off is to use a razor!

Great vid. I do a strip along the bottom and razor up from the bottom always in one direction. No problems w scratches. New blade every work day folks don’t be cheap it’s not worth scratching a window. Luke vids are the best.

Scrappers are so fun..... NOT...Contraction clean is so frustrating lol😒 Scratch waivers are a life saver. Also another tip is NEVER razor inside of Windows without checking for tint(some windows have a clear tint or film on inside that helps conserve energy for AC and heat keeping inside cool or warm). And to never go up down with razor on glass that scratches the window. Great video brother👍👍💪😎

Life Of A Window Cleaner this guy gets it, check for tint! For me the best way to check for tint is to throw a medium sized rock at the window from 15 feet out then look to see if there is any mark on the tint 👍

rockdiamond lol ok interesting comment 😂 some windows have clear tint that is to save energy for AC and heating that you can't see until you are close up that's why I say that, I ran into that before.

I try to use my thumb nail or white pad for most things now since scratching a large window at a service station. It wasn't even a tempered window. I think I just got unlucky and something got caught under the blade and dragged. Live and learn. I now explain the risks to my customers if the windows are covered in crap

good video well explained, no matter how much precaution you take trying not to scratch the glass its always a big risk.....ive found out the hard way.....

As always Luke & Reanna, loves the video and thank you. Sound advice in the video and new / different ways to practice and use. With our powers combined we will be the worlds best window cleaners!! I am so happy to see your using the stainless steel and not the carbon blades. The SS ones last so much longer, and I don’t see rust throughout the whole day.. and if they get dull, I rotate , or replace!! Make it clean and stay safe out there my fellow window cleaners! P.s.. hey Alex, Batman is super jealous of that awesome amazing hoody! Black and blue, best colors in the world!

Thanks for the upload. The task for me is my 4’ x 8’ shower glass has that hard water / soap haze. I did a test spot with soapy water and a 1 1/2 “ razor and it’s like new. I know it’s tempered but it’s very tempting to finish it with my 4” Unger blade at a very low angle. Any suggestions?

And quite frankly if a razor blade, an abrasive scrub pad & then a finishing towel isn’t enough, that’s when I’d tell the customer it’s not like I didn’t perform a superior service but I didn’t quote you properly 😂

No no no on the triumph blades. Get the Unger goodness. But good video! New guys: just treat all glass as if it's tempered. And if it says Old Castle, then it saves time because most of those come pre-scratched for your convenience and it's probably better to walk away.
