I have appreciated your videos. You are a very good teacher. I am carrying an Unger 14" ergotech for doors on my route. In 1980 I was given a brass Ettore set and have tried most of them as they hit the market. I am currently using the Pulex uni handle channels. I don't like the handle. This channel is compatible with the excelerator hanndlles. Strong and light. It also works well with a Pulex standard swivel handle. Use a clip with that. This channel is the pulex black beauty channel repurposed for those who remember it. Good job and best wishes.

If you are going to have to wipe the frame dry anyway, does it really matter if the edge of the glass is wet? I mean, is it not possible to wipe frame and 'detail' the glass at the same time?
@aranha9365 Жыл бұрын
When you have a lot of windows to do, that simple extra task can add loads of work, it is like climb a mountain, every gram on your gear that you can shave off, you should. I have tendinites on my wrist due this detailing, so yep, It does make difference in the long run.
@TradMan Жыл бұрын
Yes you can do that of course but detailing glass leaves the potential for smears. Using a zero detailing tool ensures the glass is perfect without the need to wipe it, leaving only the frames to dry off. 😁👍🏻 TM

I'm finding it very beneficial to learn and develop my technique with a traditional straight channel, but man does the Liquidator make it a breeze once you switch to it! Talking of detailing, Craig at Ionic was teaching us to squeegee with zero detailing using a traditional channel (i.e not a liquidator). He told us that the 'finger in the cloth' method as I call it should be avoided... the Liquidator solves this, but it was interesting to be taught how to do it with *any* squeegee. Need a lot more practice though!

@MichaelBrianInc2 жыл бұрын
@@TradMan Awesome and that’s what I thought. Beginners haven’t developed muscle memory or habits with tools yet so if starting with this I can imagine it wouldn’t be as challenging. This tool honestly just makes sense. Between the degree changes and not having to be so concerned with detailing it’s a win win. I also love your soap method. It doesn’t make windows look sloppy, the soap is always going to be consistent and you don’t have to worry about soap to water ratios. Whether a maintenance clean or an initial clean on a dirty window, customers will know for sure they’re getting clean. Plus the effect is magical lol. Literally goes from completely covered to this shiny and reflective piece of art for a window. Today, what are some good rubber choices for the price that match this squeegee? How is the Unger green rubbers? Many also use black diamond but I don’t think the round fits this.

So it's good to have a few sizes. I carry a 16, 12, 6 inch for hand work. Basically a large, medium and small. 👍🏻 If your based in the UK, I mainly use window cleaning warehouse or window clean centre. Unger green rubber is a medium rubber. If you want unger rubber in soft or hard then you will need to purchase the black rubber as they have the option of soft or hard. Green is medium only 😊

I'm not a fan, feels and looks like a prototype. Compared to Unger and Moerman I've found it inferior and in need of redesigning. The washer on a wagtail is terrible, barely holds on to the squeegee and water retention is not good at all, the handle is not very comfortable to use either. So if your looking for a good squeegee, personally I wouldn't use wagtail, much better options out there these days. Hope that helps 👍🏻

After watching this again, I noticed near the end you talk about employees and beginner levels.. For me I’d be a complete beginner. Never cleaned a window with a squeegee. As much as I want the Moerman setup to start, I’m wondering if it’s better to go with one of the Unger options. Cost wise which would be the better of the three? I’m looking to get a setup that will allow me to not struggle in the field much and can give me solid results out of the gate. I’m not in a situation where I have time to waste. It seems for a beginner even the Moerman will take some time to really learn the tool, so I’m wondering if maybe I should wait to upgrade once I’ve gotten started and am bringing in some income. What are your thoughts? And as always Peter, thank you for your time.

Hello, Peter McKay aka. Here is one of your subscribers who kindly requests your essential guidance: I'm a home user (not a professional like you) who wants to get things done right. I want to clean my bathroom shower glass after daily use (water, soap, body fat I guess, etc…), and unlike regular windows, these have hardware that makes it difficult for the Squeegee to pass through. So, my question is: what cleaning supplies and in what measurements do you recommend to carry out this task in a shower glass that measures 19 inches for the fixed glass and 27 for the door, both by 95 inches high? Here is a video of the glass: kzbin.info/www/bejne/marQZYl8pcaKmpo Could you please guide me? Thank you so much! 😄

Use some unger rub out and an abrasive pad to start. If that fails you may need a stronger chemical like crystal clear made by winsol.
