we have a Hervoss slitter at work but it comes off a uncoiler through the slitter, through a seperator then wound up on a recoiler. our slitter uses spacers to set the width between the slits. Not sure on the maths as we usually just put in the info into edgemaster software and it gives us the setup. We will get something like 3 slits at 310mm on a 940mm sheet with amount 5mm scrap each side, and we try to have a clearance of 0.03 between the blades(blades are 12mm wide)

I use a marathon slitter at work. It has the same 1/2" offset.

I just add up the dimensions from my drawing then set my slitting wheels

@@asm101 just ordered a van mark im1465, steel lap siding, 3in eps, custom steel window jamb extensions, integrated j's in all my custom trim, new soffit and fascia. I appreciate all the tips! I'll let you know how it goes. At some point I want to get a roll former and get into real standing seam!

Our business changed for the better when we invested in a roll former...ours does 1" and 1.5" standing seam...takes 15min to switch over

Hi Alex, do you normally buy a 48" coil and slit everything for panels and trim yourself or do you order coil from supplier preslit to your panel width and slit for trim from there?

We purchase 10'flats for trim and pre slit coil for panels
