Thanks for this. I have a unique reason for looking for this. My idiot neighbor has a flood light pointed directly into my bedroom window robbing me of my sleep. The war has been years in the making. So, my next move is to keep waking his dog all night long so he (the owner) gets no sleep either. Hoping the squirrel call will make the dog want to go investigate. At minimum, cause him to bark. That last call upset my dog, so that may be the one.

@@justanother2day I have 3 foot plexiglass mirrors mounted to my privacy trellises and also lined my windows with reflective mirrors. He put a hand-witten note facing my house "f'k trump", so I immediately bought a giant house flag of trump holding an American flag like a curtain. It's hanging from a horizontal flag mount on my tree facing his house/flood light. I have sufficiently blocked most of the light without feeling closed in with curtains.

They both sound great, but I like my Primos. It does the distinct calls of both fox squirrels and grey squirrels. When you shake (Chatter) it that is the alarm call for immediate danger. You sometimes here them do this when they are being chased by a predator or aggressively chasing one another. The high pitched squeal is a young squirrel distress call or when one is caught by a predator. (Note: on the Primos you blow in to the open end leaving the hole on the side uncovered) The Bark is used as a hey I'm over here this is my spot, but I've seen them do it as an alert warning too. You can tell what type of squirrel you're looking for by it's bark. If you hear barks that start fast then get slower with a wheeze at the end, it's a grey or black phase grey. If you hear bark that starts out slow and then gets faster with no wheeze at the end its a fox squirrel. I find knowing the barks helps to know what I'm looking for color wise. Fox and Black Phase greys are easier to spot than a grey. I hope this helps.

Any way to simulate the long screech after the barking? Here in Mississippi, the barking is almost always followed by a long screech.

I typically do the bark and then push the bellow down, and that's how I get a screeching sound. Not sure if it's the sound you are looking for, but it does well for me.

I just received my JPO call. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. My call came held together with a black zip tie where the bellow and wood meet. If you take the up tie off the bellow comes off. Not what you expect when you spend $65 on a custom squirrel call. Tried emailing and calling JPO. No response to either.

All the calls JPO makes are custom. They are all are handmade but you can pick on the color options for the bellows and barrel. My personal call was engraved with my logo. Top notch calls.

'Ive squirrel hunted for 50 years now , I.ve got one question to ask why would you get a squirrel call to scare away the squirrels or put them on high alert . Anytime a squirrel is barking or giving a long whine they are sounding the alarm that there's DANGER in the area. They don't make a call to bring the squirrels to you yet . SO PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE . If you are just trying to locate the squirrels then these callers are fine and after you locate them you have a bunch of squirrels on high alert

I killed 100+ squirrels with it. Only way i can afford to shoot a 410. Is that i reload. Only 410 i have seen is Winchester AA 2.5 8 shot. I seen some fiocchi 3 inch 7.5 45.00 a box. I reload for 410, 28, 20, and 12 ga. Could u put out a video of the custom call in a hunt? I also collet squirrel calls. The custom call would be one to add to my collection. What gun do u like too for squirrel hunting?

I primarily only use that custom call when squirrel hunting and there is a lot of videos on the channel. More squirrel hunting videos will start dropping in January after deer season. As for my gun for choice, I prefer my Ruger 10/22. I recently picked up a scope cam which makes capturing the hunt a lot easier. Also, it’s a lot of fun to watch. Do these calls work ? That one more resembles the sound when they bark at a predator which is really close. The sound they make towards the predator when looking at the predator. The sounds they make when talking amongst themselves are different. There is a whining sound, i haven't figured out what it is yet. Maybe mating? maybe its when another squirrel steals their nuts. Sounds like if a girl was saying "hey don't tickle me! I'm fkin serious ! " But they say it in one dropping syllable. It's really high pitch. . . Then typically one runs away or is chased. Trouble is I don't know if that would call a squirrel caz it sounds like the squirrel is annoyed. probly just doin it ...

They’ve gotta go. I think I put out a little bit of food and I can have 20 squirrels a day, all Roman around at the same time And if anybody’s into raccoons, I don’t know what they’re good for but yeah, I have a few of those that need to go a few possum couple stray, cats and ground!
