My question is, if you're using this for say house washing. And you want a certain percentage mix(idk maybe like 2%) how do you achieve that? I don't understand it. If its 1:10 or whatever ratio, how do you get the right percentage? Or do you just guess and check?
@sethburkhart1021 Жыл бұрын
If it’s 1-20 the best you can get with 12.5% bleach is like 3/4 of a % SH. With the adjuster valve all the way open. Half open would give you have strength. You just have to calculate the 100% open and calculate a proportion. Google how to calculate a proportion maybe. I’m still wondering how I can get up to a full 1% strength if you are only able to shoot a 1:20

And 3/8 for the last 150’. I want to be able to put the downstream injector nearer to the reel on the whip hose. If there is no 5/8 ds injectors. I will reduce to 1/2” a few feet before the reel for the injector placement I want to inject 2-3% I as well have another 10gpm unit in my trailer that I am going to siamese with the first one so I can do 5 storey hotels and other high buildings with 20 gpm flow Any help as to correct my design Locate the proper ds injector Would be fully appreciated
@Powerwash2 жыл бұрын
This is a very unique situation. We do sell a 10 GPM 1/2" chemical injector that you could use for this machine. However, the issue is that through 250" of hose, the backpressure on the line will probably be too heavy to get any chemical draw. Your best option to get that kind of draw with that much pressure hose is to either move the chemical injector up through the line so the injector itself has less pressure hose to work with, or to cut down about 100'-150' of pressure hose on the line. If you were looking to order this injector, please give us a call at 800-433-2113 as it is a special order and cannot be found on the website.

I use a Downstream injector, when Water isn't going through the gun, the chemical container fills with water, I need to turn off valve on injector to stop water going into chemical container from washer hose. Have I set up something wrong? Is there a problem with the injector? Running back to Machine to turn off valve is not a good use of time and wastes chemical. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the check valve is stuck. If you can unscrew the hose bard you will find a small ball bearing with a spring inside. Clean it and put it back. It should stop this problem. To prevent this from happening again make sure you rinse after every use.

From varying sources, maximum suggested length of hose for the Venturi effect to stop working for a chemical injector is in the region of 10-20m (33-65ft). I’m not saying these sources are correct, as there is nothing that backs up their conclusions. Your estimate of 150ft (45m) is more than double, which suits me as I have a 30m hose, but I obviously want to make sure. I am about to buy a foam injector actually which I think works roughly the same way but at a slightly higher pressure. The foam gun nozzle has a smaller aperature than a standard detergent nozzle. I can’t find anywhere a formula that I can use to calculate maximum hose length using pressure washer specs, nozzle size, hose diameter, hose length etc. How did you calculate the maximum is 150ft?
@Powerwash3 жыл бұрын
That is based on experience and recommending a conservative length so the use can be fairly certain it will work. Now I have run up to 300' with some injector but there a varying factors that can impact the distance. I wouldn't so caught up in finding a exact formula. Just be away of averaged and what will impact and you will will find the performance you desire.
@WalterFieldingJr3 жыл бұрын
That was quick 💨. Thanks for your reply. I’ve since found another source saying the same as you, 150ft. Strange how there is differing opinions on this as you would think the science of the whole thing would prevail. Out of interest, are you using a 3/8” high pressure hose or 1/4”? Is your injectors designed and made by you or are they available from other countries. I’m in the UK.

Sorry for the dumb question i got confused at the "when it comes into the machine itll dilute it" Does that mean i dont need to have a bucket of Bleach surfactant and water mix to put the hose in as the machine will already dilute it ? So i only put the hose in bleach and the machine will automatically dilute it 50/50 or 60/40. How do you control the ratio.

No way to give you a solid answer. The more you use the shorter the life span, the obvious answer.
