I used an app Advance Spectrum Analyzer PRO from my phone and I've verified your deck is calibrated just by your video's sound coming through my speakers. 🙂

Hi… the 3000 Hz tone is Only for speed adjustment. The 8 KHz tone is for the head alignment by adjust the azimuth and not for speed adjustment

Thanks for the video! Replaced belts yesterday on my Toshiba PC-D10. Playback speed changed dramatically, so I also ordered this calibration tape. I did it by ear, but it is a little bit off.

I used a prerecorded album and synchronised it with a streaming service of the same track. Test tapes IMO are way too expensive.

How do you know your test tape was recorded on a calibrated reference deck?

Well, that is an excellent question. Really, you have to trust the integrity of the seller. He has a totl Pioneer CT-F1250 that it was made with. Ive also verified by ear and by playing the digital file at the same time to make sure they are in sync and end at the same time.

The Unit you talkt about that is slow and normal in speed. Oil the capstan bearing and the motor. Or check if the motor is faulty og its a DC motor and not a asynkron AC motor

How do i test my 8 track player for correct playback speed.

I wish they had a speed tape. Most 8 track players dont have an adjustment either. Gotta do it by ear or play the cd or digital file simultaneously and see if it lines up

no way you can hear that 0.001 Hz first you should spray conntact cleaner
