I’m sure the water pad isn’t to clean it but to even out flatten the paint before you apply clear coat - the temperature and time guidelines are so it’s nearly dry and not tacky for that

The end result looked like it was on a different area, the surrounding scratches etc. didn't look the same. I can't believe that the result at the end was the same gouged out scratch, it didn't look too good when you put on the clear varnish so how did the finished result look so perfect? Not convinced you have been entirely honest.

Thanks for the tutorial. The KIA touch up set has exactly the same instructions. I only wonder if it is normal that after the base paint is applied and dries up you can still kind of see the crater. The height will only be normalized by the final touch up glaze that is meant to be transparent?

Well here I am reading the comments after applying the final clear coat. Mine is Audi a5 with Daytona grey metallic pearl (from Audi/Volkswagen factory). My clear was not milky like this, otherwise the steps were easy to follow. I did a few small chips and will update with the results in 48 hours.

Can you come with Update :)? I have a vw polo and i had the same set. I just applied the base coat and clear coat today but mine still looks weird, i assume it’s because i haven’t polished yet. Did you polish your car yet?

I bought this for my car Volvo and have not use it. So i look for an instrcution on KZbin and found your instruction. It all looks perfect. However, as already noted, I see other scratches in the area around the previous spot and am therefore not convinced that the end result is the same spot. My suggestion is make the instruction again and mark the spot so you can be convinced!!!

You indicate; great to hear. But you don't understand what I mean and would like an answer. The place you show in the video and the final result are not the same place and I admit that. Now make a video on the same subject where you mark the spot so that we can see from the beginning to the end whether the result is really as in the first video, which I very much doubt. Wish there was a close up at the end of the touched up area - hoping expiry dates don’t really matter too much if product unopened as I hadn’t realised there was an expiry and I haven’t gotten round to doing mine yet 😂
