It's hard to say. I would say check before you buy. They are made different ways.

my problem is that my caps slide from the front, they slide back even when clipping them and using those velvety headband grips, I'm about to try the silicone grips but I'm not sure if I should put it under the cap, over the cap, or both sides to be sure.
@JesseMSimons2 ай бұрын
I would try the silicone grip without a cap under it so it can grip to your head.

My wigs always slide up in back, but so does my wig grip! Any tips on how to keep your wig grip from sliding up?
@raquelfreeman81 Жыл бұрын
Same problem. Haven't found a way to fix it unless I have 2 braids in the from and anchor the clips to my hair, in the front.
@sandradle7563 ай бұрын
Two questions Jesse:. Isn't the wig grip supposed to be put on with the rough end of the velvet facing 1😊towards your face and the smooth part of the velvet facing back? Or is it vice versa? I get so confused. I feel a clear difference when I rub a finger down the grip in either direction but i can never remember what faces front and what faces back. Frankly, if I'm not doing it correctly I don't know I'd tell a difference, SECONDLY, what kind of wigs do you wear? I ask because I've got brands like BelleTresse, Ellen Wille, Envy etc. Not once have I ever seen those big clips in them. They have ZERO clips! The only hair i wear that have clips...but little bitty ones..are my toppers! I'd love to look at wigs that come with large clips! My issue with sewing them in is that I've got rheumatoid arthritis and it's hard to use my hands. Do you know of any places i could pay to have that done? Thanks so much..i enjoy watching you so much and have learned a lot. I just am usually quiet. But this is very important to me. I hope you'll answer! Please!?❤

I can usually tell which way it goes based on the way the back of the grip is sitting if that makes sense. You don’t want a big flap in the back or there will be a tag on the elastic ones. I do a lot of lace front wigs which have the Combes already in them. I do have a video on how to use nail glue to put the combs in and it’s super easy. Or another option is to email me at Jessem.simons711@gmail.com if you want to see about sending out your wigs to me to have combs added that is something I can definitely do if it makes sense. 😊

You don’t need combs to use wig grips. I dont like those combs - specially in front. My wigs dont have the Just put grip on with nap going down. Nothing will move
@JesseMSimons3 жыл бұрын
You are right the velvet material definitely helps keep the wig still. I just like the clips for added security and it makes me feel anchor to the wig if that makes sense.

Isn’t the point to make the hairline in front look natural? I’m confused
@JesseMSimons3 жыл бұрын
That's why a lace front wig grip is so great since it still allows the wig to lay flush against your hairline.

This tutorial was geared towards how to use a wig grip. Of course, once the wig is on, you have to work with it. There are tutorials I have to help with how to make a wig look less like a wig. This wasn't one of them. I didn't take what you said in a mean way. The goal of this video wasn't to make it look "less" like a wig. It was to make sure the wig doesn't fly off with the wind. So, thanks for watching.
