I don’t wear wig caps, hate them. So I blend the lace in with powder and use silicone scar tape to the underside of the lace. It really makes a difference. I don’t mind T lace parts but I can’t work much with hard front wigs unless I wear a hat. And the wig you’re wearing in this video is beautiful!!

The unnatural hairline is why I always buy wigs that have some type of bangs. It's easy to thin & cut them to get them exactly how you want & they look much more natural then wigs w/o bangs. You did a good job.

It’s not always easy to find wigs or toppers with bangs, so sometimes I have to cut them from scratch. It’s scary, and I have screwed up wigs, but I learned to go slowly, starting the bangs very long, like almost to chin length, then moving up bit by bit. I also cut just a narrow strip at first, because you can always cut more if needed. I finish by cutting vertically at a slight angle. I leave them a bit longer than I want, because I curve them with a curling iron when I’m done. (I almost always buy Heat-friendly synthetics) They come out great, and no more hairline worries! Plus, at 72, they cover up wrinkles! Yay!

I looove hard front wigs. I've had lace fronts that were somewhat costly, and even after fiddling with them they never looked quite as good as the less expensive hard front wigs (which oddly tend to be much thicker too.) Figuring out these techniques to make them more wearable made all the difference and now these are the only type I'm going to buy. I love watching these transformations of inexpensive wigs, thank you! Maybe for a light video you could find the cheapest wig you can and try to make it wearable lol, I sometimes do that if I find one on sale, just as a fun project :)

So this is different for all of us. I can only speak from my personal experiences. When I first started wearing wigs I always would say something like “thanks it’s a wig” whenever someone should complement me on my hair and then after a while I just got used to saying thank you and moving on. Most people will never know, We are our own worst critics. It definitely takes some getting used to if your hair is usually thin (this was me for the first whole year of wearing wigs) but after you get used to it it really is just another part of your daily routine and you honestly will forget you have a wig on when people complement you on how amazing your hair looks!

Be careful with superglue. I once got the tiniest bit on my index finger, without realizing it and even a couple minutes later, when I touched one of my eyes, I glued my eyelids together. Maybe use some gloves if you have them, although superglue will eat through thin ones. I got my eyelid unstuck, by the way, by applying olive oil with a tissue and then rubbing at the glue with my (clean) fingers. If you glue your fingers together, get someone to dab nail polish remover on the area and that should allow you to pull your fingers apart, then wash with hot soapy water and dry really hard with a face cloth and toss that face cloth in the hamper.

One day I might show the world what it is it's something so simple you would never think of doing, now I have to show my white step children how to do it no, you can't tell them they're not black comic girl wearing extensions with beads and lemonade braids and all these crazy colors LOL, if they don't want that pretty blonde hair I will scalp them and make my own human HD lace front wig LMAO

I personally don’t have any hair to pull out but that is definitely an option to make it look even better. I did find that taking a small piece of wig tape and putting it right at that lift area made a huge difference as well if how flat I could get it to lay down. I did a separate video on how I did that. It will obviously never look as natural as a lace front or even your own hair but for a nice beach wig or something like that where you don’t want to wear one of your nicer pieces this is definitely a decent option with a little tweaking to fit you.

I feel that I you'd pluck the whole hairline to thin it out it could help too. These wigs are just so awful. Like WHY do they even make them like this!!? Lol

I think it's because she has a small forehead. I struggle with this 😭
@Terri1373 Жыл бұрын
I thought it was the one you're wearing you were going to do. Looks unnatural at the forehead. Bit far down and very flat and stuck down far on both sides towards your temples. I think ones with a fringe/bangs are easier.

Well the one you are wearing does not look real

For $20 I don’t think it’s to bad. Definitely a great hat wig.

Yeah it looks like a cheap wig

I really respect you for trying come but unfortunately as a tutorial video you should never give a beginner the option of using super glue and wig simultaneously lol. This can work out as a disaster for someone who doesn't know what they're doing. It's really not that serious for a $20 but you meant well I guess :-)

Hard front wigs look extremely unnatural no matter what. People may not be honest with you, but even the wig you are wearing is quite unnatural looking.

It’s plastic and you cover actual hair with it, I don’t get your idea of life, a wig should surely be a equal material to what’s underneath, decent wigs have great scalps, have been well researched so you know they match your head circumference
@JesseMSimons Жыл бұрын
Some do. However, cost can make those wigs unattainable for majority of people who suffer from hair loss. So instead of just telling people you can spend thousands of dollars to make sure you have a perfect custom wig. I show people how to live their best wig life! To feel confident in the wigs that they wear and that they can afford.

Wig your wearing looks so fake at hairline
@JesseMSimons3 жыл бұрын
It’s not going to come anywhere close to a lace front wig but it’s works for the beach or with a headband or hat if you don’t feel comfortable wearing it alone. This just helps make it less noticeable and flatter on your hairline. Another thing you can do if you get one that matches your bio hair you can pull out some of your own hair at the hairline as well to help blend it together. It’s definitely not a perfect solve but sometimes people are either just starting out with wigs and trying things out before they spend a lot or they may not have the budget for the lace front wigs and this is a good alternative.

Not true! I have had people standing right in front of me shocked when I’ve pulled my wig up. Zero idea it wasn’t my hair. If you have a good natural looking one you would be surprised. 😁

Some people have no hair due to medical treatments or conditions so don't be rude. Besides, that cap over your hairline isn't fooling anyone. I can see the brittleness throughout your hair.
