Hello! It seems like you should be able to load the hank onto the swift, then load it directly to the Addi knitting machine and feed from the swift to the Addi and make a hat, etc.

I love my swift!! Got it 50 years ago and have gotten alot of use out of it. There used to be a craft store mail order store called Lee Wards that sold bags of loose skeins for diet cheap. They all had to be balled or caked.

I got an Amazon gift card about two months ago, I finally bought a swift! I am 58 and have been crocheting since I was 4. I already had a cake winder for about five years. I love it! I keep mine stored in the box. I have made hanks on my swift to dye yarn that is superwashed but in ball form.
