I was about to give up on ableton because I’ve been spending more time scratching my head than making music. You’ve explained so much and so clearly it has definitely given me something fun and instant to get me started, thank you!

OMG this tutorial was amazing! I've been doing live looping with my electric ukulele for a couple of months now and keep running into the issue of my original loop slowly getting quieter and quieter with each layer. I've searched all across the internet for an answer and you have been the only video that has explained that the Feedback toggle controls whether or not the loop gets quieter over time. AND I learned some cool new tricks about starting and stopping the tracks. Thanks for your videos and your explanatins, you're the best!

Also, I feel like there are so many videos on how to loop using expensive MIDI pads and yours is the best video I've found so far explaining how to use the Ableton loop plug-in, which is honestly cheaper and a great alternative!

Using the quantization as a delay to stop the looper recording isn't working for me, have it set to 2 bars like you but its still recording immediately from when i press record? any ideas?
@MondoLoops4 жыл бұрын
Hey, so if your track is already playing then you hit record on the looper it should count 2 bars in, if you start the looper without the track playing it will start recording straight away I believe - is it that? I don't think you can have the count in with looper without a track playing, even if you set the tempo controll to follow song

Does it have an auto quantization..incase your loop is not aligned to the beat?

Hey great video, but every time I try to record the looper while recording the track the looper keeps changing tempo to a random tempo and won't follow the track. Do you have any advice for this?

Hi , this is very inspiring. I am looking for cheaper way to jam, currently i own a single usb footswitch for my ableton lite. Its good for recording clips, but i want to buy an (intro version) so i can use my footswitch just like a regular looper pedal. My question is what if i set a 16 tracks containing individual looper ,is there settings to use one footswitch to loop in armed tracks without affecting the others tracks?since i need to map every looper tracks in one single midi footswitch. Tnx in advance for your response.

I cant figure out how to get a count in for the looper. no matter what i set the quantize to it always instantly loops when i press record anyone know what im missing?
@80pedacito3 жыл бұрын
look at 1:55 maybe QUANTIZATION is on ''none'' ... or ''global'' and then you have to check in ABLETON on the right of the metronom.. maybe its also on ''none'' .... i think... i'm new to ABLETON and all that.. so....sorry if i'm making a mistake

When I set the length of a loop to 2, 4, whatever bars, it doesn't do anything. The loop keeps recording until I stop playing - even if it is 500 bars! What am I doing wrong here? I want to set the length of the loop BEFORE I start playing. Otherwise, there is zero point of using looper. The only reason I want to is because Abelton proper doesn't have this functionality. Thank you!

Hi, great video! I'm just wondering... I'm new to Ableton and don't know where to download the looper plugin? Could you help me out?
@MondoLoops3 жыл бұрын
Hey Frans, looper is a stock effect for live standard 8+ , any earlier versions or live lite won’t have it as default, if you should have it but don’t it might be worth reinstalling the core library

Great vid ! So you can just make each looper play its own length and you can do for as many loopers as you like ? That what i'm looking for in software , being able to record multiple different length loops and have them sill sync up , like my Deluge and boss pedal do .
@MondoLoops4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, and yes exactly! On this video I showed them in a chain but you could also have them on different tracks etc. if you want to keep going back to different loop layers and overdubbing, really great flexability with these!

hey man, thanks for the tutorial, but isn't it much easier to midi-map the record button to loop with a sustain pedal? or do you have any benefits with the ableton looper? :)
@MondoLoops4 жыл бұрын
Hey Dali - Thanks! Are you talking live session track loops? For me when doing guitar stuff the looper has great functionality vs just looping a clip as with a single button I can play / stop / overdub / start again etc. - for say a keyboard player it may be easier for you to have midi maps as you say for each track but its all down to workflow preference

dude, nice videos. Can you please do a video explaining the sound chain effect to get a cool chillhop guitar sound? i saw the one on ableton tutorial but i guess you can explain better the amps, effect order, etc you can use to achieve the sound.
