The new Aeropress Go Plus has a fix issue where you can’t seal the cap on the chamber. This of course can cause issues with leakage when creating your perfect brew. I didn’t have this issue with other versions - just the new Aeropress Go Plus.

Does this AP work with the Fellow Prismo?

I just bought your original Go yesterday 😭I like the storage of this one more but a ceramic cup would have been a better option in this new version, metal ruins the flavour and keeps it too hot. Since you're drinking the coffee after making it, doesn't make much sense to me.

I also bought the Go a couple of days ago, but I too don't really need the thermos and like the orginal Go's smaller size, which is more important to me than the thermos and new features. So gladly I'm not mad at my purchase. Just the stirrer of the Go Plus seems a little better to me, as well as the way the filter papers are stored. The little plastic thingy for the filters in the original Go doesn't feel very premium..

Is the lid leak proof? I wanna be able to throw my coffee tumbler in a bag. Should be a given… Also: I‘ll never wait a minute for my AeroPress coffee to be great. :) Rather going with the inventor‘s recipe. A spoon of coffee, hot water, steering for 10 seconds, pressing through, adding some more water. Happy with this for many years.

I did this for years but I recently started waiting 2 minutes based on another video on this channel. The coffee tastes totally different and much better in my opinion. Try it and see what you think.

@@gabrielsroka Will try, but being able to make great coffee in a short amount of time is one of the reasons I love AP so much. 1-minute steering for great cold brew coffee included. So, waiting 2 minutes for my daily coffee sounds like forever :D

Try different recipes, there are more than 200 around. Like at the World Aeropress Chamnpionships recipes with brew times up to 5 min yield awesome coffees.

@@GabrielGGabGattringer Don‘t worry, I‘ve been trying for years, but I drink coffee for drinking coffee, not for making it a passionate lab center of my life. Recipes are not as important as which beans to use, or which grind setting. This stuff changes any recipe outcome immediately and immensely more. So, while others might love measuring everything to perfection, I‘m just happy about a consistently great coffee that I have ready in no time and with minimal effort. I love buying different beans, that‘s where my joy for experimentation ends.

Can I purchase the travel cup separately I already have the clear press 😉
@midshiptom7 ай бұрын
The Go+ plunger lip (the bottom of the travel cup when stored) is a lot narrower than regular AP, so the regular AP won't fit.

I like that the difference in videos is this one just saying that you should get it ground to medium-fine, and that you should grind it. 😂😂😂

Glad you found it helpful! Medium-fine grind does make a big difference. Thanks for watching!

The shitty lid is not waterproof and tumbler dont fit all the stuff when lid is closed

So they’ve completely forgotten the original inventor’s method of brewing, and essentially copied James Hoffman’s. Seems like following what everyone else is doing rather than being unique at the cost of pleasing everyone. This is the difference between board room creation and individual ingenuity.
@michaeldimmitt21887 ай бұрын
Interesting. I do the small amount to the #2 like inventor does, then add water (AeroAmericano I call it). There was no waiting if I recall. He just wanted a single cup that wasn’t bitter. Everyone has their own idea of how the like their coffee, and I believe the AeroPress lets them find their own way. AeroPress = Coffee Freedom!

This also theoretically increases plunger wear, meaning they can sell more replacement rubber caps.
@SnakerPace6 ай бұрын
Didn't the original inventor say the best thing about the aeropress is that people can use it however they wanted to suit their own preference? Or did you forget that just to have a mindless rant about "mega corps"

What’re the difference between Alan’s and James‘s methods?
@dæmnKris2 ай бұрын
The "original" method was stupid, sommeliers and other AP users have figured out both better and simpler methods (like this one in the video).
