1 critique- i would definitely make sure your skin can tolerate glycolic acid. if you have a big event or something tomorrow & you want that ‘glowy boost’ don’t just do a 20% glycolic acid wipe and then be surprised when your face is bright red the next day 😂😂😂 definitely a strong product (the bliss pads) and not something to use if you aren’t sure of how your skin will react (especially right before an important event!)

From 2:35- that is what I am dealing with right now! I had clear skin and had mild breakouts until a year and a half ago (I just turned 25) I started having that hormonal cystic acne.. it was so embarrassing and I never wanted to leave the house. I have flair-ups starting a week before my period, my skin looks pretty good during my period, it’s great a week after my period.. then the cycle starts all over again. I’m so happy my sister introduced me to Beauty Within♥️ y’all are my rock in skincare!

Thanks so much for this, Fel and BW Team! I completely relate to the physical and mental frustration of hormonal acne when no OTC product seems to work for the inflamed under-the-skin pimples. Even if your skin is clear for the most part, your menstrual cycle can really mess things up for you. And once the 'episode' passes, it leaves behind hyperpigmentation when then throws you into this perpetual cycle of trying to deal with your skin and it's problems. For those who go through this, you're not alone and I absolutely empathize with you!
@nomalebona6827
@nomalebona6827 3 жыл бұрын
Perpetual cycle indeed. You then spend weeks trying to deal with the pigmentantion and then boom, it's that time of the month again and yaaay, new pimples again.

I always tried to dry out my skin just to get rid of texture and dullness by using exfoliating acids, toners, cleanser etc. I just started using a hydrating toner because it seemed nice and did a couple layers for 2 days, and let me tell you my texture looks 50% better and my hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone looks so much better??? If any of you are dealing with dullness or texture or anything bad just remember hydration.

During my teens i used BHA (til now on my 30's😜) and still using salicylic acid 2% for acne and dark spots (drugstore or just tell the chemist "generic brand" cos it works) Then i only spot treat with benzoyl peroxide (generic/unbranded works too) used them few minutes after my face moisturizer/lotion. Just lucky to have a DERMATOLOGIST AUNT who gave me a lot of skincare tips and told me u don't need to use EXPENSIVE STUFFS for the product to work,just look at the ingredients...Hope this helps 😁

I have horrible skin....I’m super sensitive and acne prone and when it comes to switching products I get scared cuz I have always broken out. BUT...2 months ago I bought Naturiums niacinamide serum and worked it into my regimen. Then I got crazy and bought the Naturium niacinamide gelee cleanser, retinol complex cream and plant based ceramide rich cream. I only use the rich cream in the morning before makeup cuz it’s crazy rich. And I have to tell you my skin didn’t go nuts like it normally would with new products and my skin has never looked so good. My texture is something I never really could focus on cuz I was so worried about the acne. I always thought worrying about texture was a luxury I didn’t have. This week I’m going to work in paulas choice BHA and differin.

wow! this is EXACTLY the info i was looking for! thanks so much for this, really! its weird: salicylic acid doesnt really do anything for my hormonal acne. and i started using the ordinary's strongest 1% pure retinol (similar to what was mentioned in the video), but it has done NOTHING for me. i mean, ZERO. no pealing, no tingling sensation, nothing. there are warnings on their website about how strong it is, but i apply it (correctly, i think) right after cleansing and, weirdly, i get nothing. this video was helpful to consider other options. thanks!

Hasn't worked for me either. What actually worked were products with lower concentrations of BHA, but which I could use daily (both morning and evening). For example, the Inkey List salicylic acid cleanser and the Benton BHA toner.

This video is so helpful but there are so many products mentioned I’m overwhelmed. Do you have a top fave for each ingredient (AHA, BHA, Vitamin A, Niacinimaine)?

There's definitely a reason to why I came across this video on KZbin: kzbin.info of Jyovis Ayurveda and I was very happy to see the results. I even followed few of the tips explained and it actually worked. Then I finally decided to contact on ...... (+91 7208189103) to cure my Problem from the root cause. The team really helped me a lot. Thank you Jyovis!

While not related to this video’s topic, what’s your option on using serums, specifically retinols? I’m a 19 yr old female with zero history of allergies (pets, food, fabrics, etc.) and combo skin (oily t-zone/normal cheeks & chin). Can a young adult under 25 use retinols? I was thinking about trying Sweet Chef’s Vitamin A & B serums but I wasn’t sure if I should.❤️❤️❤️

I wonder how people can use 5% AHA every single day because for me it is actually quite a strong percentage. My skin is tingling like crazy, red, and hot for few seconds 😂. So I only use it 2 times a week in conjunction with retinol every other day

I never had acne, then I started taking the pill and in the course of three to four days my face was full of pimples. And since then I'm struggling. My doctor actually said it wasn't because of the pill but I honestly don't believe that.

@Andreea Mircea and @Educating Melanie. Thank you for the tips. I really appreciate that. I am already using Cerave for over a year now and thankfully I kind of got the breakouts under control. I only get new ones when I am either really stressed, it's the time of the month or I am not as consistent with all of my skincare. Honestly I've become a skincare addict because of this.

That is wrong information regarding Differen. It is not meant to be a spot treatment. You are supposed to keep using it over time to keep the results. It’s not something you just stop. You can use it twice a week if you are irritated but it’s not something you stop. Neither is Retin A
