Great question. From research apple is saying there is a latency lagging of Bluetooth mic voice over video 😑

The same way smartphones offers an ease of use in portability and therefore is very easy to bring along, so does the AirPods. Not the best quality I've heard, but a milion times better than a ecko sound from far away!

Thanx. The phone mic was barely passable. Not a good option. The wired mic sounded a tad better than the ear pods, but the pods were perfectly fine for audio. The Rode mic was also very good. You did not mention which mic might be better at screening ambient noise, windy conditions, etc.

I’ve been trying to figure out better audio after having dogs in the leaves causing serious mayhem. I bought a couple mics but now need adapters, so thought I’d see if earbuds would work. After watching your video have set my phone up and tonight will record with the cam, phone and have the dogs in the leaves again to see how the earbuds do. I hope it works well so one less issue. I used to be able to keep my headphones in and play music on my phone and record a vid of me lip syncing at the same time. Idk if it was a glitch. But I could play the video back and listen to the music I was lip syncing to instead of lip smacking. And now I try every way on KZbin and it doesn’t work. I play a song and it plays in my ears and I record but all you hear is the outside sounds instead of the music…. Have iPhone XR. When I record video with Memoji, AirPods or wired ones get disconnected and voice is recorded via iPhone microphone with lot of noise. Any suggestion what could be issue

The AirPods Pro sound quality is not any better than the internal iPhone mic. But it’s let you be away from the iPhone. I uses Rode Wireless GO, it’s good but I wish the AirPods Pro quality is better but it’s not. I’m in search of best Bluetooth mic for iPhone so far none of them meet my expectations. Let me know if you know one that give best quality sound. Using another iPhone is good quality option but it’s a pain for me in post editing. I do lots of cuts then next thing you know my audio is off sync. I can export then import again but it’s extra work and time consuming. Oh one more thing., I’m shooting all my videos with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I can’t find a solution to transfer my videos to external SSD without needing a laptop or desktop. Do you have a better way to do it? TIA

Hi! I use a hard drive to transfer videos from my iPad and you just plug it in and then can save your videos to ‘files’ and the hard drive will appear there. I’m sure it will be the same for iPhone? Hope this helps!
