Thank you so much for these videos. These videos keep me informed all the time, I am working in the customer service for about 12 years, but plenty of people I am working with are over 50 years old.

Thank you for watching our video. Unfortunately heart attacks and cardiac arrests can affect anyone, at any stage of life - willingness to perform CPR saves lives, so thank you again.

In India we are seeing lots of kids, people in their early 40's experiencing heart attack and dieing. Your videos are educative. The guidance you provide, in simple language is easy to understand and practice. Thank you madam. But very disheartening to see the number of views even after 10 months post the uploading of the video is only 30k.

I went to the American Heart Association's videos on KZbin to learn CPR, but all I got was endless advertisements and nothing but advertisements! So I came here to Victor Chang's videos to learn how to do proper CPR and how to use an AED! It's shameful how everything that is associated with America has been commercialized and it's all about making money!

Hello, Thank you for your comment. Learning about CPR and AED is vital to saving lives in our community so thank you for taking the time to watch our videos. We would also recommend in-person training if this something accessible to you in your local area. Best wishes, the VCCRI Communications team

Our Singapore Heart Foundation recommends to shave the patients chest if there are hairs as it prevents cardiac detection process. Do you agree since time is precious and perhaps it would be better render the electric shock first and then do the shaving if necessary when cardiac analysis detection is not sound.

Dear Mam, how long will I have to do this?

Hello, Thank you for watching our video and for your question. Julia from Response for Life recommends to stop CPR once the person becomes responsive or normal breathing returns; once the paramedics arrive and advise they will take over; or if you are becoming tired and can instruct a bystander to provide support. We hope this helps. Best wishes, the VCCRI Communication Team

What to do if the pads don't stick on a hairy chest?
@VictorChangInstitute

Hello, Thank you for your question. There is normally a small razor in AED kits to use to help the adhesion of the pads to hairy chests. Best wishes, the VCCRI Communication team

One key thing rarely discussed is you need to remove a woman’s bra. Thankfully this is rare as it’s usually males but for females there is a hesitancy to do so. If it’s underwire bra and still on or dangling - you easily could harm one of the rescuers.

As most bras have underwire. It is advised to remove them before applying AED pads as these metal pieces can heat up and cause burn injury to the skin. Research has shown that bystanders are less likely to perform CPR on women than they are on men due to concerns over inappropriate touching, fear of causing injury and poor awareness of cardiac arrest in women. Heart disease is too often perceived as a common illness among middle-aged men, but in fact, the risk of heart problems increases significantly once women reach menopause. You can learn more about women and heart disease on our website: www.victorchang.edu.au/heart-disease/women

Why don't you show it with two people one doing compressions and the other applying the AED. This way it is more realistic I have been doing two people, one doing CPR and the other attaching AED for 10 years.

If you need to do CPR, make sure there aren't a lot of "lookie lou's" around. Tell people to get back or to even go away as they can block healthcare/emergency personel from getting in, not to mention the embarrassment of the person needing help. If you're using a defibulator and it has to be on bare skin, consider that when it's a woman, she won't want to be exposed to her co-workers, or a bunch of strangers. Yes, you are there to save their life but also let's be aware of their dignity too.
