@weak2297 Both pirated and steam games don't work. I found out that the cable was the problem and the write speeed itself is low.

Thank you , thank you, thank you my main man. I recently sold my PS five because I got a steam deck and I’m an Xbox fan who has the XS. There are only a handful of exclusives that I wanted to play on PlayStation that steam offer so it only made sense to me to use the steam platform to play those PlayStation games as well as PC games. I updated the ram in my laptop and quickly realized that the SSD inside my laptop was insufficient. I went and got a 5 TB HDD Drive for 119 bucks at Best Buy and utilizing the information that you gave in this very quick concise infotainment video. I am so happy to report. I now have tons of room for all the games that I want to put on my laptop and take with me anywhere I go. Thank you so much please continue with great videos like this.

You might have been able to download to your PC/laptop then drag and drop to the external drive. This was useful, though, I agree, in being able to avoid that step.

Ok this video helps. I got an Acer nitro 5 and am finally able to play more recent games on it. It runs great but has small space. I've been trying to figure out if I could get a hard drive to place my games there and how I could transfer them. Would a regular 2TB external hard drive work well with my laptop? shut down your laptop, unplug the external hard drive and then boot up your laptop again and you are good to go

Did you change the game directory on the launcher? The launcher has a set path where it will scan for the games that have been downloaded, if you haven't changed the file path in the launcher to the file path where you moved the games then obviously it won't detect that the games have been downloaded and will make you download them again

Yes, if properly set up, you should be able to move your Steam games to an external hard drive to free up room on your internal hard drive.
