If you experience a humming sound in the signal, you may need a "ground loop isolator" cable between the transmitter and the audio source. Also, if the device uses RCA jacks, adaptors to the small 1/'8 stereo plug are available. God bless!

With those mini fm transmitters, the range depends on you're antenna more so than just the transmitter power alone. A 1 Watt transmitter with small whip Arial puts out practically no power, lucky if you get 500 meters before break up. For excellent coverage a tuned penetrator circular polarized antenna is best, and reduce power to it with an attenuator network and then you can control range to just the car park and coverage pattern properly. Place antenna on a tripod at back of stage up high above head height. Be sure to reduce power in micro-watts as 1 watt will go miles and you can get into trouble the radio communication authority.

Unplug it and make sure the connections are clean. Another fix would be to replace the cables. Also make sure the sound levels are not peaking.

The sub out is powered. If you have the right cable, yes you can run it out of a headphone jack on the board. That's how we have it. I don't know on your third question. I don't know the mixer board that well, that's why I explained the easier method of a laptop to the fm transmitter.

You would only use the three ring end if you had a Apple phone or computer/iPad. Any other phone or tablet/computer would use the two ring. That rings all the black insulators in the Jack end.

I am not for sure on that. I know a couple churches that are doing it and didn't register. Just don't take someone's radio station when you do. I think that's where the trouble comes in.

If the FM transmitter outputs more than 250milliwatts, which the one in the video does, it is considered Pirate Radio by the FCC. Broadcasting under 250milliwatts is legal, but there are also parameters on that. Basically, you need a "Part 15 FM transmitter" to be legal without a broadcast license. Google Part 15 FM transmitter. By the way, my searches yielded that FCC fines start at $10,000. I am not an expert by any means, but I have found out that setting up Drive-In church is not as simple as just buying the equipment.

@@bob31411 I don't where you get the 250milliWatts power from but an unlicensed use is exactly 10microwatts ERP and its about this for most countries, however that rubber duck whip Arial on his 1 Watt or so transmitter will be radiating practically nothing anyway, as it not tuned to correct freq and its too small. A fm dipole is over 1.5M long and must be placed up high in the air. They will usually not fine you usually they give a warning. The radio police will only come with their direction finder if there is a complaint about it. Usually someone will complain as they eventually find out about it and its usually another broadcaster.

@@JuanCamacho21 You cannot register as such, and you generally will not be able to get a license either, as there are endless list of applications for licenses in every city in the world. There is limited spectrum for just a few dozen stations in a given area, and a license for narrow casting is often auctioned and it can cost many thousands, and the transmitter can only be operated in specific locations at a certain very limited power to prevent interference with other existing stations coverage pattern. There is provision for unlicensed Low powered devices that can cover a small property but you must not disrupt other broadcasts. The range you can get away with is usually a up to few hundred meters, even if you exceed the unlicensed power allowed to get the range which is usually the case, the authority will do nothing unless there are complaints about interference. The radio authority do not have the resources or care to chase every popup broadcaster using trivial amounts of power for private use, provided you do not upset anyone and make them complain.

@@bjtaudio The transmitter you are using is illegal in the US. you must use a LPFM, Part 15 certified FM broadcast transmitter. Amazon should not be selling these. I would shut down your transmitter before you get fined by the FCC. Fines are very hefty for pirating FM airwaves. you will notice that Part 15 transmitters are all out of stock while the unit you have are available. doesnt that tell you something too.

Hi Lisa. Thanks for watching the video. I think it really depends on your location. Since we are in more of a rural area it's been ok for us. I would suggest looking for a radio station that would not interfere with any other in a long range. Do you plan on using the transmitter for church for a long period of time?

250 feet is the legal limit on the fm band in the united states under part 15 fcc rules

TIP:- If you are using a stereo transmitter with music be sure to use a low pass filter to roll off frequencies above 15Khz as much as possible you can use a equalizer drop off say starting at 13Khz and up to -db10 or more setting or as low as possible as high frequencies in audio will mess up the stereo reception. Also use an audio compressor keep volume levels constant. you will need to experiment with audio settings to get best results, use an fm radio to check reception.

Juan our church bought a Vast V-FMT212R so we could have drive through service. We never have been able to get it to work. I have tried to contact the company for a step by step way to hook up it up. Try adjusting the gain on the transmitter. It may take some trial and error to fix it.

I ordered the same transmitter and couldn’t get it to work for me. I went speaker out from the head with an adapter to the transmitter with an open fm station. Still nothing. I sent it back and now I’m looking for another setup. Tried 3 weeks to get it to work and was so frustrating. Have a blessed day brother

I had it in a door that has a window so the site lines were clear. But even if it was behind a wall the signal was still going through strong.
