is it possible to not just have dates but also schedule the timing with the due date? Like a calender feature? and does asana send some sort of notifications reminding you of an upcoming scheduled task/meeting for that hour?

Yes, you can set a 'due time' for a task. But I'm afraid you won't get a reminder. You need to be working from the MyTasks page to see what you have coming up.
