A friend of mine told me years ago to add a aspirin in the soil when you plant the tomato in the ground. I tried this this year and it works great. I took your advice and I water the tomato plants every 2 to 3 week with the aspirin. Thank you

Willow bark is natural aspirin, 'man'ufactured aspirin has added chemical ingredients so it can be patented.

@@mspat8195 Felix Hoffman did all kinds of synthesis with naturally occurring salicin derived from willow bark. But he found that the addition of the acetyl group reduced GI irritation considerably. The goal of all business is to make a profit, but Hoffman did improve on the naturally occurring compound. Though Bayer's patent expired in the 1910s, it is Aspirin and not salicin that is still widely used and still called _the miracle drug_ . It's true that you can initiate the SAR response with willow bark-infused water. It's a fantastic option for strictly organic gardening. But with the bark-infused water, the potency will not be as predictable as it would be with a dissolved aspirin tablet. For someone like me who doesn't grow a lot of each variety of tomato, I don't want to risk harming the plant with too potent a solution. Nor do I want to waste my time spraying with a solution that isn't potent enough and won't initiate the SAR response. Too, for someone like me, who's only growing for myself and not selling, it's organic enough. Though synthesized, aspirin isn't synthetic in the way that a petroleum-based pesticide is.

I have two yellow squash plants in a 25 gallon home made self wicking container and It makes too many blooms and too many fruit!!! 2 plant and counted 38 fruit! I have healthy tomato plants, yet they are dropping all their flowers. I’m heartbroken. Out of 57 tomato plants loaded with blooms then they drop. Ive tried tickling the flowers, and have even used a small paint brush to help pollinate. Idk 🤷‍♀️ what I can do. I have covered with shade cloth to keep cool. We are getting a lot of rain. I’m trying to allow to dry out by not watering until fruit set. Anyone have any other ideas for me??

Why not use ground willow bark which aspirin is based on? Willow bark is natural aspirin, 'man'ufactured aspirin has added chemical ingredients so it can be patented. 💞~👵
