Appreciated this video. Graphite. The small shafts are graphite. Oxides. The black schmutz is metal oxides. Thanks for demonstrating the range of sounds and general principles. The explanations before the relevant demos tested my patience. I had to fast forward because I was so eager to hear the resulting sounds.

Thank you so much. I just got a new set of flummies however was ready to throw out because I couldn’t get them to play. Now after watching this, I’m playing like a pro.

"..Let the gong tell me what to do..." Great instructional video, even has a de-shmutzing segment at the end. Two thumbs up. The Atlantis gong sounds great !

Love your set up! Is there a specific name for your stand that you use that all the gongs are hanging off? Is it just a large gong stand?

I'm pretty sure we're using a custom Gibraltar Stand, adapted from the standard Gibraltar Gong Stand for 28"-40" Gongs, using additional Gibraltar parts and pieces we sell. Those stands have a ton of adaptability.

How long do these B Love Flumies last being that they are a friction mallet? Very helpful video. Thanks for the ideas!

Would I get different notes from these, if there’s only 2 low tone fundamental notes on my gong
@gongsunlimited6 ай бұрын
You won't get any different notes necessarily, but different mallets will highlight different harmonics and overtones.

That's a 40" Atlantis Gong. We're currently sold out of that size, and a handful of other larger sizes. We just got a large shipment of gongs with some Atlantis Gongs on the truck, but we are still checking them in. Here's the listing for that style if you want to see and hear more of these: gongs-unlimited.com/collections/atlantis-gongs/products/unlimited-atlantis-gongs?variant=36161805837

I hear almost nothing from the 10 cm big ball, and my ears are good! Maybe that's due to the recording? ?? The 2nd ball works better there... nice! I have a 36" Unlimited sub-atomic gong from yours, so how would these flumis work with it? Do you have a demo? Thanks!

Do you recommend storing the flumies in a plastic bag? I heard that they can dry out over time and this is a good practice.

it depends on what kind.
