The order of application looks good; however, I recommend using BOJ Exfoliating Acid Toner and CeraVe Gel in separate routines. You may be able to use them on the same day-if your skin tolerates it-otherwise, use them on alternate days.

@@pruthvi__4675 Are you referring to dark spots after acne? If so, just give them time; they will heal on their own. :) Dark circles are mostly caused by genetics, lack of sleep, stress, and often food intolerance (I think that's the most common), so I would definitely look at that first before using any skincare products. But since you have oily skin, I would go with: Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser (alternate with BOJ Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser, otherwise it may become too much) BOJ Ginseng Essence Serum (either Glow Serum or Revive Serum) BOJ Sunscreen (use during the daytime when you have sun exposure, otherwise leave it as it is)

You could give the Beauty of Joseon Toner a try! However, overall, a 2% salicylic acid (SA) product may be more suitable. You may consider using a serum like the one from The Ordinary, which contains 2% salicylic acid. Regarding sensitivity, it really depends on your personal skin tolerance. These products can still work, but it is essentially random if you haven't used such products before. Therefore, there is no way around testing them to see how your skin reacts.

@MelissaVanDijkOfficial
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Жыл бұрын
It will definitely help with skin texture, but its effectiveness on hyperpigmentation depends on the type. For dark spots after breakouts and sun spots, it will certainly have some impact when used consistently, even with the low percentage. However, typically, concentrations of 5% to 10% are often recommended for addressing such concerns. May I ask what type of hyperpigmentation you are experiencing?

You can use it as an exfoliator. Whether it helps smooth out the bumpy skin largely depends on the cause of the texture. If the unevenness is due to a buildup of dead skin cells, it can certainly make a difference over time!

Hello! I am using a serum with azelaic acid in it every evening and I have just bought the plum toner. Should I not use the serum when applying the toner? If so, is it only until my skin gets used to the toner? Or never combine the two of them?
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial 9 ай бұрын
Well, it is quite gentle, but the response to both products also varies from person to person. If you use them more frequently, there's a chance they might cause sensitivities. Therefore, I suggest initially using them separately on different days to see how you respond. If that goes well, you can then consider using them together, but only if you feel the need to do so and respond well to both.

@MelissaVanDijkOfficial
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial 7 ай бұрын
It depends on the serum - whether it's water-based or not, its texture, and how much you use. Let's take Beauty of Joseon's serums as an example. In that case, you could use three serums per routine (but I wouldn’t use more than 3) since they are lightweight and water-based. However, do you really need that many serums? @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial 8 ай бұрын
The Ordinary's product is very potent, so Beauty of Joseon AHA+BHA might be a better choice if you have sensitive skin. However, if your skin can tolerate it, The Ordinary's version tends to show faster results. Also, BHA is equivalent to salicylic acid, so if you use the product I demonstrated in the video, you're already getting both. Generally, it's not advisable to use two exfoliating acids in one routine. This can expose your skin to excessive amounts of acid, often leading to irritation or increased sensitivity over time.

@@gdvvgdfv Okay, if that works for you, keep doing it like that. However, if sensitivities occur over time, reduce the frequency and consider changing the combination.

Well, you could follow the routine I shared in this video. But overall, the products you are using are still suitable. You may just need to adjust your cleanser to a foaming cleanser, and if you're not already using one, consider using a gel moisturizer like the ones I shared in the video. And you can use the peeling solution once or twice a week, if tolerated. As for Mandelic Acid, you need to adjust the frequency according to your personal skin needs and evaluate if you still need it when using the peeling solution, as that should provide sufficient exfoliation. It's important not to overdo it with the exfoliating acids.

Well, I am not in India, but I checked on Amazon, and it seems that similar products are available there. You can try these options: VINAURA Absorbent Microfiber Cleansing Cloth (www.amazon.in/VINAURA-Absorbent-Microfiber-Cleansing-instantly/dp/B08W5CJHNQ/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1QOOTDNZTI5JS&keywords=makeup+remover+cloth&qid=1686394122&sprefix=makeup+removal+cloth%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-6) Makeup Remover Cloth Towels Pack (www.amazon.in/VINAURA-Absorbent-Microfiber-Cleansing-instantly/dp/B08W5CJHNQ/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1QOOTDNZTI5JS&keywords=makeup+remover+cloth&qid=1686394122&sprefix=makeup+removal+cloth%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-6) Please note that I haven't personally tried these brands, but the material appears to be the same as the ones I am using.

Hey there. Can I use PHA(3%) face toner and The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution together?
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Жыл бұрын
Okay, well if you are using multiple acids in the same routine, you really need to adjust the frequency of use. Therefore, my advice would be to use only one acid per routine or per day. Otherwise, it may cause sensitivities over time.

@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Thank you so much for responding. Do you mean that I should use PHA and Salicylic acid on alternative days? Like, if I use PHA toner for tonight, I can go with Salicylic acid 2% Solution tomorrow night and continue this routine?
