Are you looking for a new way to create beautiful felt projects? Then you should give Bigz Steel Rule Dies with felt a try! These dies are perfect for cutting out shapes, letters and designs with felt fabric and can be used with your Sizzix machine. Here’s how you can get started with Bigz Steel Rule Dies with felt.
1. Pick the Right Felt
Before you get started with your Bigz Steel Rule Dies, it’s important to pick out the right type of felt fabric. Felt is available in a variety of colors and thicknesses. For the best results, pick a felt that is 100% wool and at least 1/8-inch thick. This type of felt will hold up well to the pressure of the die-cutting process.
2. Cut the Felt

I am so off to HIT that NEXT VIDEO !!!!! Was looking this morning in a HURRY how to cut my steel rule dies. I mean I have a huge collection. OK for me it's huge. Meantime I had invited a partner in die cutting over for a play date...(yes us adult gals can too have play dates...not just for toddlers.) Anyway planned were cutting with my 2 newest steel dies and I needed a quick how to make sure I laid it up right and proper. Thank you it was on the sweet spot just what I needed and without delay and lots of stuff. And guess what I also learned and took to heart the painter blue tape share. Thank you so much I just happen to have a big extra wide roll of blue tape in my RV having been working hard to renovate this 22 now 23 year old RV I bought 1.5 years ago and yeah seller was a bit dishonest... and the poor RV's abuse and neglect was far worse than had been thus hidden by the slick awfully cute young con man. On the flip side if such a sad condition patient was to land in my arms I was not about to ever pass it on to someone else. NO way. Miss Mini Mo is now clean, sweet smelling, new upholstery, new cushions, new lots of things including toilet and air vent fans and microwave and faucets etc. I mean she's ready to rock and roll. But first my play date...which was a super success. We cut out little boxer doggie earrings and BIG FOOT ones too. We started off with one sided ones then on to double sided and then on to a Sizzix earring die that's in two parts. All in all it was lovely and now of course we need a play date 2 to follow up on more steel rule die cutting. If Miss Mini Mo's going to end up through the fall as a non traveling lady we may just have to put up her table and turn her into a mini crafting office. For now I'm off to watch cutting felt with the thin dies. What I really would love is the best way to cut not only glitter paper but glitter fabrics too. Even our steel rule dies today had a few sticky non cutting spots with the dang glitters. Everything else cut like BUUUUTTTERRR. We are now in love with the steel rule dies. Thank you for your generous and adorable presentation today. Spot on just what I needed.

All the paper dies work on felt and fabric too! I get them on Amazon , spellbinders.com, sizzix.com eBay. Destasche pages on Facebook. Scrapbook.com. The steel ruled dies are getting harder to find unfortunately but you can still snag them on eBay and facebook.

Hello! So unfortunately they are becoming harder and harder to find as I’ve noticed many of the many manufacturers are steering away from the steel ruled dies. With that being said my favorite places to search are Amazon, sizzix.com, spellbinders.com scrapbook.com For trickier older dies, check eBay and Facebook groups that destach them! I’ve been lucky to find some there as well! You can also cut custom die made too if your interested I’ll find the site that does that!
