Really good method! Reading is a great way to learn any language. Something else I like to do is listening to the audiobook while reading the book. If you see words you're pronouncing wrong, write them down and make a list. Then go back and read the list aloud every once in a while.

No wonder you love thai the languange is cute for me, i use Google translator to translate English into Indonesian,( my first languange) I use both English to Indonesian and English to English dectionaries, sometimes i read about Nakizumo article, it's the article about japanese tradition i translated the article into English, love that article, the original languange of the article is japanese.😁
