The small camp propane torches work better, last longer and less flimsy for dabs.

Yeah on the bonjour torches i always put the safety down then plug it up with a cue tip stick and long enough so it doesnt fall out so i just click and it ignites and pushes gas put one click

Do you know what the screws do that are attached to the spring? You could slide them forward and back if you wanted to.

It doesn't use batteries. Does a lighter need batteries? Just use the butaine to fill it up and it should work fine.
