Please don't ever stop teaching. I know the views are low compared to other KZbinr instructors but... you're hands down the best one.

That F#7#5b9 is a raunchy chord. I didnt think it would work, but it did. If someone told me to play that chord, I would cry for a minute while trying to figure out the shape, all while everyone was thinking, "I thought you knew how to play the guitar." It was an Awesome video, as always; thank you!

Awesome lesson. Could you make a video of a practice routine on the guitar to help us practice the circle of fifth using the caged system?

Hey Brian, just curious what kind of mic you're using when you make your videos. I don't see a lav mic anywhere.

Hey brian I need your help, I can't visualize anything on my fretboard. I hear people say that when you think of caged/chord shape or just a scale pattern that you should see the notes "light up" on your fretboard. I know my intervals and I relate everything back to the root but I don't see it mapped out the way I hear other people talk about it. Also, are descending intervals any different than ascending? love your videos thanks 🧟‍♂

Hi Brian! I am a little bit confused. In F#7#5b9 you broked up in F# and after you put a 7b not 7#, and after you used #5 and b9. In my logic it wolud have been: F#, 7,#, 5b and 9. What do you think? 🙏 Thanks a lot for your work! 🙏
@zombieguitar
@zombieguitar 7 ай бұрын
F# is the root note... In 7th form, it is an F#7, which is an F# major chord plus a b7. If it were an F#maj7, it would have been an F# major chord plus a major 7th, which is just a 7. Check out this video on 7ths: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXOlqJyNmteGrqMsi=je8hFN_M-dFuuLVt

Don't the Chords have the b or # written after them & Extentions have b or # . before the note. What you described would be written F# maj7b59
@zombieguitar
@zombieguitar 7 ай бұрын
@@stevec9972 yup..this is an F# root note, with a 7 (not a maj7)....a '7' in a chord symbol is a b7. So the 7th portion of the chord is an F#7 chord (aka. "F# dominant 7th"). Then you just add the extensions on there - #5 and b9 🎸
