I had it write a song about my cabin, my grandson, come up with a tagline for an ad I'm working on, and a short blog post about joining an association, plus 5 reasons you should.... I'm a little astounded about it's ability! I am a freelancer, and see it as a tool. I think that people who use freelancers in most cases don't want to sit down with an AI and figure things out. They'd rather source it out. At least for now. I can see things changing though. I mean, I come from the days of tellers in banks, and check-out lines in stores (pre self-checkout and Amazon) Things do change. Which is why in the long run, home-made, artisan, and sustainable works might be the future for some of us who have relied on techno skill-set selling.

I think it is possibly a generation thing. I know people born in the 30s and 40s who refuse to use credit cards or self service machines. This will probably be the future for most pretty soon but I suspect for many 60 plus and some younger there will be a distrust which will take time, if ever, to overcome.

Usually, it's just email signup but some countries require SMS verification too as per their laws to use such tools. You can use any family member's mobile number for sign up.

I can already see that people loosing their jobs because of this tool. This time intellectual workers , white-collar jobs will be the one on the line. The same way as physical workers, and manual labour got "replaced" in the industrial revolution. Just faster this time i suppose. I mean you won't need that much of programmers when you can just ask this stuff to write you a code in 5 minutes. Me personally was struggling with my little arduino microcontroller as i'm absoluteley new to coding and it's very difficult i was watching endless video tutorials on how to this and that it still takes me ages to make simple things like moving servos blinking leds measuring temperature etc. And you just ask this thing in text about your whole project and it makes a code for it in no time ( i suppose if you ask it for more complex codes it takes more time probably but still..) and i hardly understand what it does but it works 😁And i'm an absolute dummy in programming, immagine what some real smart guy could do with this thing 👀

What's the fear? Are we not being replaced by younger people as we age and they become more competent? If you already knew you would be obsolete one day, then I don't see why being replaced by AI is any more scary than being replaced by a younger human being. AI is but the accumulated competence of humanity distilled into digital form. Just as the jobs of miners and factory workers are being replaced by more competent machines, so too will the jobs of artists and poets be replaced by more competent AI. This is inevitable and I suggest we all get used to the idea sooner rather than later.
