A couple of years ago, Fran did a video on breaking quilting rules and showed three computer generated samples of the differences you get when changing the number one number two and number three fabric positions... I really wish you would do this for all of your pattern pictures... The differences you get is amazing! I love your quilts!

When my kids were younger we did very traditional Christmas. Multi-lights with hodgepodge of ornaments. Now my daughter and I love picking a theme out every year. My favorite has been winter wonderland Christmas. While our old traditions of getting our ornaments from hallmark have passed, we have new ones, like deciding on themes, gift wrap, and getting pajamas.

I think my absolute favorite is Winter's Eve....stunning quilt! This, again, was a wonderful, wonderful video. Thanks to you two for presenting. I wish I had seen this prior to making my 3 yd. Christmas panel quilt. ( I did watch the other video on using panels...) The only think I would add is to CAREFULLY measure the panels if using yardage. Experience here.........😞But no worries! I'm flexible! You all are awesome! Thanks again.

I love to decorate in a nautical and beachy theme. Spent one Christmas in Key West, Florida and I decorated a small tree with pink flamingos and shells. I used jewel tone ornaments and silver.

Wish there was a listing of panel- friendly patterns. I have spent so much time leaving through all of.your books trying to correlate block size with my panels, not.tp.mentopn the number needed. I should.have put them in an excel file!😊

This has been something requested before. We'll work on putting together a sheet of patterns that work with panels. 😊 We also have 6 new patterns coming in Nov. that are designed specifically for panels 🥰
@mariannecamous34722 ай бұрын
@FabricCafe Thanks so much! Best would be some kind of listing by panel size and number. Not to be a diva quilter, but going through all of your books can be a project.Coping strips can help, but again that's a lot of extra complication!

Live the idea of using panels but a word of caution from someone who has found this. Not all panels come off the roll straight and true. Some are even cut across while the fabric is still folded so if it’s wonky when cut you loose bits on the other side. Always check and give your fabric a really good steam and pull it till it’s straight. It’s especially important if each section is boarders and you want to include that. Thank you for your wonderful ideas. I love traditional but also the icy blues.

Why can I not get Roman Holiday pattern with the Peace on Earth Kit as shown in the video?
@FabricCafe2 ай бұрын
Hi Sandra! The "Roman Holiday" pattern is currently only in the book "Quick as a Wink 3-Yard Quilts" - www.fabriccafe.com/Quick-As-A-Wink-3-Yard-Quilts-book-p/032040.htm - Sorry for the misunderstanding!

My problem is what to do with whole picture panels--any way you can do something with those
@FabricCafe2 ай бұрын
Larger panel motifs can be a challenge with some of our patterns. We have a pattern called "Big Picture" that features a large area that a large picture panel could be placed, depending on the size. Another idea (depending on the panel) would be to cut up the large picture into midsized blocks and choose a pattern where the squares were fairly close to one another. This way it would create an illusion that the whole picture was there, but ever so slightly separated. A pattern that comes to mind would be our "Louvers" pattern from the "3-Yard Quilts on the Double" book. It features nice sized squares that are separated by a design. We also have a new panel pattern coming out that is designed for a large whole picture panel print. Another option is to use it for the backing of your quilt! We have seen quilters in the community choose to do it that way with stunning results. Hopefully that gives you some ideas until we can touch on it further. 🥰

I'm disappointed. The Peace on Earth Panel Quilt Kit is very pretty. Showed made with the Roman Holiday quilt pattern. I intended to order. However, the Roman Holiday pattern cannot be included as part of the kit. Really??? Can only be purchased by buying the book. Fabric Cafe may want to rethink and re-do this video.
