Another great video of cool tips and functions! I love using the Notepad feature - instead of scrawly notes on my A4 notepad burying important things to raise in meetings, I use the clickup notepad which I have organised into several different categories/weekly meetings. I can link from there directly to tasks I have questions on. its a great tool!

Wonderful suggestions Layla. Thank you again for posting such great videos. The blur effect is also something I never noticed before but will be great for making things like banking processes for staff or anything you want to keep safe. Since I use Postbox as an email client and not gmail, I'm wondering if this system will work with other clients such as it, Outlook, etc.?

I agree! As for your question, the bookmark hack will work well for any cloud-based email tool - or really anything with a unique URL per message/email. 🙂

I’m just coming back to ClickUp after a few months away trying out August Bradley’s Notion system. I spend more time using productivity tools than doing what I plan 😂 Ultimately I’ve decided to use Notion to create a personal encyclopaedia of knowledge (alongside the Evernote digital filing cabinet) and come back to ClickUp for project planning (alongside Todoist for quick tasks and routines). It’s amazing the growth in ClickUp in just a handful of months. I think the blurring tool and the task out of highlighted text are the ones I will make best use of.

Welcome (back) and congrats on breaking free of the “productivity tool hunt” rabbit hole! 😉 I know all too well how distracting that can be! Ha! The blurring feature is 👌 though! Can’t wait until the Extension can compete with Notion’s Web Clipper though....

Thanks for this! I am still a Notion user but am keeping my eye on ClickUp as it has a lot of potential. I am yet to find anything in ClickUp that would move me over and there is flexibility in Notion that ClickUp doesn't have. Will keep my eye on your videos in the future to see if there is something that comes 😁

Glad this video was helpful to you! I really enjoy aspects of Notion. Compared with ClickUp, there are a lot of differences on the project management, template, and automation side of things...but I really view the tools as complements vs. replacements! :)

@@LaylaPomper that is interesting. They both market themselves as all in one if i am not mistaken. I don't think that is something that exists but they are both close. Do you use both?

@@LaylaPomper Notion is an All-in One trying to do task/project management... Whereas ClickUp is a task/project manager trying to become an All-in-one tool. ClickUp docs is like a Lite version of Notion (but they keep adding more functionality) I use both now, but I think with the speed of development/adding new features, ClickUp will be my only platform in the near future. ALSO, because of Notions structure, I don't think it will never grow much more than a simple todo list manager. ClickUp's structure (which already a great project/task manager) will have an easier time adding Notions function via their docs feature.

Can you further explain using your "emojis as breadcrumbs" strategy? I think I saw you use it as part of your Google Calendar Time Theming. Other applications?
@LaylaPomper
@LaylaPomper 3 жыл бұрын
Using Emojis (from places like Emojipedia) can allow you to have a naming convention that's more visual. Folks will use it to label templates, Docs, or other cluttered parts of the systems. For example: [ 💼 | New ] could mean "client - new" and [ 📹 | New ] could mean "video - new" and the emojis help keep them organized in Clickup's messy template organization system.

Hi Layla, is there a way to switch between 2 different Click Up accounts without logging out of the other? I didn't think it would be wise to open up another workspace because I will be adding members to the team later, so I just had to open a whole new account. Now when I log into the other account, the previous account logs off. Let me know if there are any ideas in the pipeline to fix this. At first I had one account Click Up and the other Asana, but then I switched them both to Click Up, for consistency.

Hey there! There's no way to have two user accounts with *two different email accounts* inside ClickUp. However, if you use the same email address, you can easily flip between different Workspaces without having to log in and out -- you can even be logged in to different Workspaces in different Tabs of your browser at the same time. You can learn more about flipping between Workspaces (not accounts, unfortunately!) here: docs.clickup.com/en/articles/1045623-hierarchy-structure-in-clickup#:~:text=It's%20simple%20to%20switch%20between,Spaces%20(keep%20reading%20%F0%9F%98%89).

Layla at ProcessDriven ok I’ll check it out. Thanks! I thought the other workspaces were for people on your team. Idk if it could house a whole entire “other” account. I hope I didn’t waste money on getting the other account, 🤦🏽‍♀️

Can you please make a video ( if you haven't already) on how to use time tracking to track tasks that you do every day but need to report weekly in order to bill it? Which means that once you track the time for that week it restarts on monday so you can track the same thing again?
@LaylaPomper
@LaylaPomper 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Hannah! I’m planning to do a video related to this soon, but a short answer would be to either (a) make the task recur - and track on each recurrence - or (b) use a Dashboard widget that just pulls in time tracked over the last X days.

Hi, can you help me to understand....i have 2member team, and every they finish task, they must confirm me to appove the task is correct, after that i will accept and status will be complete.. can click up do roles like that ? thankyou before
@LaylaPomper
@LaylaPomper 3 жыл бұрын
Yup. Many ways to accomplish this but here are a few.... 1 - Create an automation that says WHEN task move to closed status THEN create an assigned comment to me to approve the work. 2 - Create a Custom Field for "Approved" and use an automation to say WHEN task moves to closed status AND "Approved" isn't checked THEN move the task back to the In Progress status AND leave a comment saying, "This hasn't been approved -- you can't mark it complete yet!" 3 - Create subtasks for each task and assign the Subtask to the person who needs to do the task and assign the overall Task just to you. Give the person Comment-Only access to they can change the Status of parts that are assigned to them.
