Hi Anne, we have one intermediate pack for a Jack Russell but this is a different one to the free video class we have on here and our website. Here's the link if you are interested: store.colinbradleyart.com/products/jack-russell-intermediate-pack?variant=35109202624663

Very nice demonstrations. The colour shapers work beautifully in your hands, but I'm having trouble with them. Using semi-hard pastels, the shapers do pick up some of the pastel pigment. I haven't found a way to completely remove all of that pigment so I can use the shaper on another color or value. Is it possible, or are these single-use items, to be discarded after use?

bill hansen I clean the colour off the shaper using my finger, the colour comes off fairly easily ready to be used for the next colour. I have been using the same shapers for a few years now.

bill hansen The shapers do not work with normal coloured pencils, I only recommend their use with pastel pencils or soft and medium soft pastel sticks.

Oh oh - Thanks again for your reply - my last post was very careless and misleading. I wrote "colored pencils" when I meant "pastel pencils". I'll try the shapers with my pastel pencils today. I'll also try them with a different brand of semi-hard pastel sticks.

For me, working with semi-hard pastels today, the key is wiping the shaper with a bit of paper towel which has a few drops of rubbing alcohol on it. Magic! Your shapers are wonderful.

hi there, I do find that some of the pastel transfers onto them but I can just wipe them and it comes off, so very easy to clean. I wonder if they would work for your type of work too

Hi, love the videos...ty.. I have just bought these pencils and they work great on beige coloured paper.. What white paper would you recommend, I'm struggling to find a good one ty
@colin19407 жыл бұрын
Lucy Leo I would prefer the coloured paper as I use a great deal of white pastel together with other light shades as base colours for the stronger tones, this would not show up on white paper.

How do you clean the shapers?
@colin19407 жыл бұрын
Elaine Painter I prefer to use my finger to rub the pastel off the tips. Thank you for your interest.

I also use the same thing for blending my graphite.

In your opinion, does the soft or firm colour shaper work better for graphite?
@Hollister74Ай бұрын
@Jaymz937 they are both very effective (use both in my work) but if I had to pick I do use the softer ones more.

Are these colour shapers soft? firm? Also, what is the name of the manufacturer? Thank you.
@colin19402 жыл бұрын
The Ivory colour are soft and the grey ones are firm. These ones are made by Royal Soverign

Nice video, and thank you. However, I found volume way too low even with my ipad volume turned up all the way. I really had to be Ina room of total silence or wear headphones, which at the time of viewing was not possible.
