I never did either, but while I was watching old concealer videos and I’m talking eight years old, as well as one recent one there were a couple of girls that dabed their concealer on and then did their eyebrows or did something else and then kept saying oh it’s too soon to blend it out and I thought that must be an old technique so I tried it and it worked 😊

Thank you for this one!! This is, and has always been, my biggest problem. I’ve always had dark circles, getting progressively worse until my mid 50s, when they improved slightly. At some point I picked up small bags but those are mostly gone again, so back to just the circles. It seems I’ve mostly been doing it right (though I wish I’d had this when I had the bags!) except for the setting spray! Not sure why not, but it NEVER occurred to me to set my concealer before moving on. I figured out in my 30s to let it dry down so I’m not just wiping it all off, but setting sprays were definitely not a thing then, so I guess I never picked up that habit. My skin is dry so my makeup doesn’t wipe off or melt off and stays in place all day, so I don’t use setting spray at all very often. Now I’m definitely using it on my concealer, at least. Thank so much!!!

I’m 48 and stared using concealer under my eyes and I just don’t like the way it looks. I’ve tried 15 different concealers. I used to never prep under my eyes but it does make a difference. I’ll have to try some of the hacks to truly master that area of my face. Thank you.

I never apply sunscreen to my eye area, it gets too close to my eyes and can sting and irritate my eyes if it gets in there. I think I just touch my face and rub my eyes too much. And if I get it too close to the corner, I starts tearing up

Hallo, thank you. How did I not see this yesterday! Sunday is sewing and watching youtube :0) I actually use Pacifica reusable eye masks. I apply my serum and tad bit of the Ordinary caffeine solution underneath. Also the hack with setting spray and powder under concealer for eye area didn't work for me either, sucked out all moisture and so wrinkly and itchy all day.

Yes!! It may work better like I do, just light tapping with spray on sponge and skip powder, unless my foundation is too glowy and I need to tone down.

These ate great tips. But I ended up taking off the concealer once I put on foundation. I did let it set but maybe it wasn’t a great concealer or the damp beauty blender?

Yes, it really depends on the concealer and there’s just a handful that I use for underneath my foundation. And I don’t use a damp beauty blender because I feel like that washes everything off. I either use a dry make up brush or a dry Stansout beauty sponge.

Ahhh, the opposite of bags! I would definitely try using a lighter concealer in the hollow, and make sure you go up to but not too far over the ridge.
