That instantly updated table feature is what my company needs… I’m sick of seeing 50 emails about the same topic just to say 55555 or a name… With that feature, one email would be enough. “Hi people. Please fill in the cells that belong to you in the table when each step is done. Best regards.”

Wouldn’t it make sense if OneNote and loop kind of merged ? I see a lot of Microsoft apps where it would make sense to merge them. But they keep them as a separate product.

So it's just Node/confluence with a LLM embedded? kinda expensive just for them to be on the same page to be honest --- because in practice, you can just ask ask GPT or Bard... to do whatever and stick in your preferred page and get the same result? am I missing something here? and yes I do realize you can do the email thing, but aren't most companies already paying for outlook? now you have to buy addons to be able to use the product you initially paid for efficiently?

It’s an LLM based on your company’s internal data. Also, there are scenarios tailored to the individual apps, like making slides in PowerPoint. Agree it’s expensive but it also costs a lot to operate.

Copilot can use your internal company data as long as permissions are set appropriately. It conforms to GDPR. Yes on mic, as long as you initiate.

@@KevinStratvert Same story again - trying to sell commercial entities services that expose their most private data to the cloud/3rd party. I don't think anyone has cracked that yet - not even Microsoft. I think they need a constant zero-trust model, which of course offsets all the claimed advantages. Unless of course, you are young enough never to have known anything more trustworthy. Trust really is the killer application. Always has been.

Microsoft released Loop in November of 2021. Yet when I loaded/started it for the first time it say that it is still in "preview". That is about 2 years in beta mode testing. I don't get it...why so long.

I use loop every day at work. Almost zero emails for a long time now. It's great for keeping track of things that change regularly that other people need to add to. When I have external emails and people reply all or have email chains it's so shocking to think people still work like that.

Yes, except it’s integrated into all the other Microsoft products. Which makes it quite magical, as he shows here. Because you can add Loop components that are linked anywhere and they get updated.
