Thanks! You have helped me to sort out a major problem. I love back-button focus, but on the 5D4, it cannot coexist with touch to focus. Now usually, I want to back-button focus, but sometimes, when I'm doing a focus stack for example, I'd prefer to do touch to focus. Now, with your info, I have set up C1 with back button focus turned OFF, which automatically turns touch to focus on. I can very easily toggle back and forth. Fantastic! Much appreciate your coaching on this.

You touched on something others missed. The setting you in influences the setting of the C function. This is why I could not figure out why my C functions all behaved like they were in auto, because I set them up from the P setting not the M setting. Thanks Bro. Thank you bruh! Just setup my 90D C1 for 120 fps slow mo & C2 for FHD 24fps 🙌🏾 I lucked up and captured my grandson hitting at his t-ball game going through the menu. I could have easily have messed that up. Now I’m on point with this setup. Thank you 🙏🏾

Great video! I shoot birds and I just got a 6D and need a 1) auto-focus for a still bird on a limb in a tree and 2) an eagle flying. The autofocus change needs to be fast. C1 and C2 is my answer.

Absolutely you can set slow motion as a custom setting, with your camera in Manual and video mode create all the settings you like for slow motion. Then register it as a custom function in the settings. Be mindful custom buttons and custom functions are different. A custom button can be set to switch a specific setting (auto focus, shutter...) A custom function is a group of settings.(exposure, movie recording size, picture style and more)

No your AV setting will function as normal. C1 is going to be your separate Custom AV setting.

Fotógrafo Fabiano Santos you will have to make sure the cameras dial is turned to manual.. after navigate the menus for setting up the custom class. It’s all about what camera mode you start with. Start with M then proceed 👌🏽
