Yes you can definitely use Arduino Uno R3 instead of Maker Uno board. We included Maker Uno in the DIY Neuroscience Kit as it gives all the features Arduino Uno R3 provides, is based on the same ATmega328P microcontroller but comes with a whole lot of added features like 1. On board 8 LEDs 2. Programmable button 3. On board piezo buzzer 3. Connects with micro USB cable

Hey, please explain a bit. Are you talking about NuPrep Skin Preparation Gel or Electrode Gel? Apply only a small drop of NuPrep Skin Preparation Gel and rub it gently. Do not use a lot of gel and do not scrub it much it may cause a temporary redness on your skin. Using electrode gel will not have any kind of problem on your skin and a small drop of it is enough while using bioamp bands.

Yes you can use BioAmp EXG Pill included in DIY Neuroscience Kit Basic with Arduino Uno R3. The reason we included Maker Uno is that it is a similar board which comes with various added features like onboard LEDs, buzzer, C-Type USB cable support, etc. We do not sell the kit without the development board but you can still mail us at [e-mail] and we will get back to you asap.

There are various research papers available online on how EEG can be used for sleep tracking. We have not tried this particular experiment using BioAmp EXG Pill (biopotential sensor included in DIY Neuroscience Kit Basic) but you can give it a try.

DIY Neuroscience Kit Basic includes 1 BioAmp EXG Pill. BioAmp EXG Pill is a single channel biopotential amplifier so you only record 1 channel data. But you can create your own multi channel acquisition system as well where you use multiple of BioAmp EXG Pills and connect them together. Yes as you increase the number of channels you get more data.
